(PC) Input delay/failure, maybe even desync might still be an issue (Video)

So I did a little Cyrodill and it seemed OK with not many on but I felt like something was not quite right. So off I went to some spongier NPCs in a more controlled environment. If you watch closely right after my weapon swap; you can see the game register presses of my "1" key twice but nothing happen. Then I noticed just now when my jabs do go off, I am not getting feedback of damage until the last hit then a bunch of numbers popped up. Checked my raw footage to check and PR was 136 the entire time.

I had a similar though more extreme experience in a group dungeon, tried casting Endless Hail a few times, would not go off, swapped bar to try to jab, animation would show for a split second but the skill would not fire. It took perhaps 10 seconds before I could cast skills again.

Still seems busted, the lag on the damage registration on the last jabs is substantial IMO.

I played a few bgs this morning and didn't have any jab lag. I'm chalking it up to you needing to l2p :-)

I hope it was just a hiccup, cuz it felt great this morning and I'd like to keep feeling that!

It most certainly could be a hiccup. Before update 25; I've seen issues similar to this based on location and elevation seemingly of mobs. I plan to get on at a more peak Cyrodiil time and seeing how it goes

1. Can confirm that skills are still not firing as expected. Not 100% of the time but randomly. I have the problem after a bar swap on the 1 key especially. It is not always a ground targetted attack such as endless hail, but even on an unstable wall.
2. Pressing ultimate is not working sometimes. I can stop the fight and repeatably hit the ulti button and it is not firing. It lights up, so it is registering that I am hitting it, but not firing. I can bar swap then press it and it will work. Most of the time this is one bar swap, but sometimes it requires 2 swaps. Not good in the middle of a fight thats for sure.
None of these problems occurred before update 25.

Now that you mention it, I do have this issue on the 1 key the most. Especially last night it was really noticable. I do think it happens on all skills, but now I'm thinking back to other characters and raids and realizing the 1 skills are often the worst offenders. Maybe a bit of placebo, hm.

Either way, this is still happening, the ult thing too. The amount of presses it takes for me to get out a horn is miserable.

Is it the 1 key specifically? Or is that usually the first key after a bar swap you press? I know in my case, usually I'm hitting that 1 key at the bar swap to start a "rotation" of sorts.

I'm definitely sure that it affects skills on other keys too. 1 for me is usually a skill I use quite a bit, so maybe that's what's skewing the judgement for me... But there's also one 30sec skill I use a LOT and it's one of my worst offenders as far as not going out goes... You're right though that it might be based on being hit directly after bar swap sometimes.

Ok will tag @ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_JessicaFolsom as I hope the videos somehow help. Along with the video in the OP where it shows abilities not going on or damage not registering until late; I did the below out of 2 or 3 hours of trying to play last night in prime time Cyrodiil.

First clip health desync? Watch my group mate. There's often times I see full health but the game realizes someone is dead and they just drop. Often shows from 3-10% health on the healthbar while they are dead. I see some things that hit them leading up to it but the feedback is late

2nd clip I'm not sure the video does it justice but it felt like I was moving a little faster than normal. Clear example of delayed effect of an ability, and location desync for sure with the rubberband

Yeah for the first hour maybe; I was not recording and I can tell you it can act up mid fight. A few times, Im fighting and its going well for me, targets are dieing and another almost dead, but then suddenly the issues peak again, can't finish off that last target and its like its then their turn maybe as they start hitting me.

Just did an hour of no recording enabled at all. Made sure firewall settings were set to let everything with the ESO app to pass and NAT although I doubt it does anything with this. I didnt check right before this but a couple months ago, trace routes would not complete for me through to the ESO NA server but it was now

Removed all addons again for really no change in result.

Reset Winsock and reset the TCP/IP stack. It actually brought me down from a 120-130 PR while doing writs to 100-110. Its still odd that I get less than 40 PR to other games with a 500MB internet connection

Toned down my graphics to where I was getting 90-120 FPS in town depending on how many people.

Was hopeful that even if it didn't fix anything; maybe it would be just that much better. Nope! I just couldn't activate abilities with 160 PR in stead of 190 and 60 FPS in stead of 30. It was really frustrating standing there for 5 seconds minumum at one point mashing my potion and my heal and neither going off.
