No Great Dark Stag today?

Wolfman_Jack
Since a Dev closed the a prior thread the question was asked on (understandably as it was necro'd, though that is strangely appropriate in this case) without answering the question, I figured I'd post it in a new one. Is the Great Dark Stag gone for good?

I got it last year, which wasn't the first time it was available - it has been up at least twice now. No reason to believe it won't come around again. No reason to believe it will be available every Friday 13th either.

Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.

No reason except that it says it does on the Elderscrolls Fandom wiki, or that a casual google search shows enough forum and Reddit posts about it on each Friday the 13th since 2017 to back it up...

Are we sure it's up every single Friday 13th without exception? ZOS are big fans of the 'artifical scarcity' approach so it's possible if they think it was available too recently they decided not to bring it back.

Alternatively maybe ZOS staff are off work and/or working from home as much as possible like a lot of American companies and simply haven't announced it to players and this either needs someone who wasn't in the office to be there to set it up or simply got forgotten with all the changes to normal routine.

I only remember seeing one mention of it being Friday 13th, and that was someone commenting on the fact that no one even noticed the date. Normally people will bring it up constatly. It wouldn't surprise me if ZOS forgot as well.

Well, they brought in the Doom Wolf and the Mudcrab of Doom on Friday, so I guess that's the Friday the 13th thing this time. Strange that they're sticking around for a while though - usually the 13th stuff is only out for a day.

But we don't get the same things every Friday the 13th. Last time (December) they put the Grim Harlequin motif up. I think the stag was the time before that.

From the number of posts and in-game chat about it, as well as the Wiki page, I'd assumed that it was an on-rails style offering that didn't require further action. But you make a good point.

I figured the Doom Wolf and Mudcrab of Doom were just new offerings, given the availability period (as you noted) and that they are reasonably within theme for the Dark Heart story this year. I didn't realize they varied the selection though.
