When can we finally get Alliance Change tokens?

Now that group queue for battlegrounds is removed, I have absolutely no way to play pvp together with my best friends on our main characters!
What is the problem creating one? There can be a cooldown or something so people don't abuse it..

Reason it won't happen: Rich PVPers buying 6 alliance change tokens a day to faction hop in pvp- oh wait Alliance Lock

Reason it will happen: All the money ZOS gets from said rich pvpers
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

Rich pretty much answered this question last year. He specifically said they had seen the requests for the ability to change alliances but they have no interest in offering it. That is basically Rich saying never.

Wouldn't the alliance quest line and all things associated with it go funky if they allowed you to switch factions? I don't think anyone is gonna go back and tackle that coding nightmare any time soon.

"I've been here for years, and lemme tell you all about how they should never change or evolve Z, because then the game would be ruined forever." - The other half of posters on this forum.

What is the problem creating one?

What is the problem creating a new character in the Alliance your friends play in?

That absolutely is a way to play pvp together with your best friends.

What does that have to do with playing with friends?

If you’re an achievement hunter, you get your achievement points on your main or designated character.

You play with friends on another character in your friends’ same Alliance.

    Problem solved.

It's not going to happen. There's too much to code around in order for it to work properly. And before someone comes at me with "It's a few switches in the database", no--it's not.

    dont even argue, man
pvp is group content, so i want to get those achievements in a group
if zenimax closes one door, which is battlegrounds they should give us something else so people can still play together

Tokens just make the faction lock pointless.

You have to be naive to think people won't spend a fortune to spy on the other side in video game PvP.

People pay more for less every day.

    "Should."

Legally, no, there is no "should".

As with all online games, the developers can, and often will, change the game drastically that may indeed amount to perceived content removal.

ESO is not the first and it will not be the last.

ZOS has “decided” how to play the game with your friends ... not me.

You choosing not to level a new character (to play with your friends) isn’t anyone else’s problem ... especially not ZOS’s.

They added the PvP skill line for sale, smh :s

To me that says, there are some players that are buying said skill lines which is pure bank for ZOS.

That was in a way their answer to paying for changing your alliance in a way.

I personally would just make another toon, as I always have. Good luck :)

Probably will never happen. But if it were to happen, i would only be in favor of it provided it had a number of caveats attached to it.

You have to be naive to think people won't spend a fortune to spy on the other side in video game PvP.

    You people are nutters. Really.

90% of the time factions just chase each other around the emp ring, and there's always someone in zone doing callouts. But, yeah, spies. Really, absurd. There's not a lot of amazing tactical genius at play.

This. Pretty much it's not worth the time, headache, and you can be assured countless bugs that would occur to offer it. ZOS already did what they do best and monetized the solution by offering you the chance to buy all the assorted skill lines and skyshards so all you got to do to play with friends is level class skill lines and weapons and spend those crowns

If they wanted to spend for this , it would be so much cheaper and easier to just buy another account which they can already do for a one time small amount.

As I stated in the second post of this thread it is Zos that has made it clear they have seen the request for a means to change alliance but they have no interest in offering it.

Arguing with another player that is merely explaining what you need to do to PvP with your friends in a different alliance serves no purpose. They are just informing you of the reality of what you will need to do.
