Tel var stones in Cyrodil?

I've just recently been playing in Cyro, mostly joining groups to take keeps and other resources. I know how stones work in IC & IC sewers but didn't think they were part of Cyrodil until today when I was in keep that was swamped by OPPO forces. Fighting a rearguard up to the top we were overrun and I saw an OPPO player appear to loot victims like I see in pledge dungeons. This made me wonder if I'd been collecting tvs and not known.... I'd never checked. If not what was the OPPO player looting?

You cannot loot other players in Cyrodiil. What you saw was likely a player using an emote or animation over their fallen foes. That's fairly common for players to indicate either respect or disrespect, depending on what they do.

There are no Tel Var in Cyrodiil. If you want to check how many you have, look at your currency tab.

Tel vars aren't even lootable. You pick them automatically same as AP.
