Just let it update. The only reason you would need to delete it first is if you don’t have enough space for the updater to download, unpack, and install the new version. Otherwise it’s all automatic.

yeah i've read and done the update for my pc account with no probs
however my ps4 drive is almost full and this is why im asking what to do

I'm an xbox player so I'm assuming PS4 would be similar, but I'd recommend that you leave the eso install alone and if you need to make space, move some of your other content to a hard drive to create some spare room. You can always copy them back after the eso upgrade.
