Connection problems, maybe?

Hello,

I haven't been following the Patch Notes and just came back after a long break. I noticed, that first of all i can't animation cancel anymore or at least it's super unreliable. It works sometimes for certain skills, sometimes not, then it doesn't work at all for other skills. It seems to be a legit thing, that they broke this from what i gathered so far, but there is no form of indication on what can be cancelled and what not?

Second and mostly important i keep getting disconnected, primarily in raid groups. I first thought it was a problem with my Internet connection, but i can't tell for sure. Is this a game problem or a problem on my end? It's just very odd, that i can stand around for 30 minutes and nothing happens, but then i go into a raid and poof gone.

Game in comatose state, we may just sit and wait if it will recover.
Some things better left untouched... ZOS could've added server hardware to fix performance problems or if software doesn't allow it, create another megaserver (for Asia for example) giving people options to transfer there etc... but they decided to "optimize" some complex code, probably written by those who don't work in ZOS already...

    Hello,

U25 came with some improvements. Unfortunately it also came with a general desync/input lag issue which is why ani cancel doesn't work right now. They're working on a fix but as with all major patches it may take a few of weeks to chase down and fix.
Further it came with a ton of crash issues, most of them fixed, and a bug where if you block repeatedly in rapid succession you get booted to login (sounds like this might be what's happening to you). They working on a fix for both the remianing crash issues and the block leading to disconnects, no eta here either.

Basically they're trying to fix the actual performance issues in the game rather than just adding servers which might temporarily mitigate the issues but would never fix them. But this forum has a ton of backsaet coders whp know nothing about the game code or structure but will tell you that they know exactly what is wrong.

And while "we know about these issues, we're wprking on fixing them but do not at the moment have an eta on a fix" is not the answer any of us want it's the only one they have. And personally I'd uch rather they tell us this than make a promise of a fix fpr a certain time that they may not be able to deliver on. I swear this forum is the most toxic first demanding they communicate then lying about them doing that because they don't like the answer they're getting.

Thank you for your answers. I'm kind of glad, that it's not my internet connection. I wonder, why there is no red message to indicate about the problems or anything like this.

After Elsweyr update the servers were crashing basically every day for hours upon hours and i thought that was bad. Now they've managed to hook this behavior up to blocking that's just wow. I mean if it was my firm i would sack the people responsible for this.

If they had a red message for everything wrong in this game it would send a negative message to potential new players.
The less ZOS respond to these sort of things the better it is, for them.

For example: There is a Huge amount of players that keep on playing only because they Hope things will change. If ZOS publicly confirm/deny future changes then loads of these players will stop playing.
"Hope is the last thing that leaves a person" and "The boiling frog effect", so on and so fourth.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I suggest you make a habit of following the Dev Tracker as that is the best way of keeping on top of announcements, although I appreciate you can't access it on the mobile forum client. If you also look at the news on the website you'll see a monthly Performance Improvements Plan report. Lastly, the launcher news may also give you some updated information, although there are some problems with the news not loading on the launcher since a recent launcher update - especially affecting Windows 7 and 8.1 although it's also intermittent on Windows 10 too.

People comment about ZOS not adding more servers but we don't know what the situation is on that. Each megaserver consists of umpteen servers so they may well have added more already, but adding new megaservers would simply split the population up and mess with guilds etc. I imagine they've already made some hardware improvements but they believe that the performance issues are largely software-related and that's the main focus of the work on it at the moment.
