Necro Mystic Siphon not casting in trials

Often times the skill lights up as if it's usable, but I have to swing my mouse around the screen like I'm lassoing a bull to find the "sweet spot" to get it to go off. From my understanding the update should have made it automatically target the nearest corpse. Many of my trials teammates are reporting similar issues with the skill. One theory is friendly pets are blocking line-of-sight to the corpse preventing the skill from activating. Please look into this issue.

    yeah it's still wonky. on yolnakriin i've had periods where i can't use it for like 12-14s despite casting blastbones every 3rd gcd. something blocking it would make the most sense, because there are clearly corpses to use, but the ability flickers on the bar or just doesn't work even if you spam it constantly.

    yea...it would and will go "wonky" with no willie involved still! Lets face it, this Class skill is broke.....like full on Bye Felica kind of broke!!!
    ZOS......Gina, Rich...…I dunno who but can ya'll please just overall and fix this class skill? Just look at the posts in here and Reddit and lord knows where else about this very fact. Class overall is fun and cool but its like having a '69 Camero SS with a 4 banger in it!!!
    And have a gander at da Warden bear as well, he seems to be a tad afraid of Dragons? Just little things and they would go so far in bridging that respect gap!!!

    Was pretty excited for this patch as I've really wanted to love Necro since they came out. Siphon is definitely still a bit wonky though. At least the magden still had a nice smooth rotation when it was at the bottom of the dps heap, necro is just plain frustrating at times.

    Also you need to be quick, corpses can dissapear mid-cast animation cancelling the skill completely wasting gcd.

    Didn't they also extent corpse duration though?

    Since siphon is not on the GCD I regularly spam it directly after several other skills hoping it will cast. This is all within 1-2 seconds of the skill lighting up to be cast when a corpse is created.

    Ditto on the strange targeting on this skill, often times it won't fire or will fire on a corpse off to the side (Arcanist) when I am instead targeting one near the boss (Blastbones).

    I would also love to see some additional damage associated with this skill, either front-loaded as a sort of secondary spammable or back-loaded like the Stamina morph. That way, magCro could get a welcome little boost while leaving stamCro untouched.

    Moreover, as a Necromage myself, I can say without a doubt that it is harder to weave a few of the Necromancers Magicka based skills, primarily, they are hard to weave with light and heavy attacks but if weaving heavy attacks in, it is best to finish the animation or even stop half way to fire off the skill. If anything, Necromancers should be considered an elite class that punishes animation cancelling with most class abilities.

    Necromancer Tips:
    • when using mystic siphon, always aim directly at a corpse regardless, this is a lot easier when not locked on to an enemy since it can interfere with the siphon abilities.
    • When summoning Skeletal mages, spirit menders and blastbones, ensure you have finished your heavy attack before doing so as it may misfire or even not work at all, finishing a heavy attack or even stopping halfway can ensure slightly better dps.
    If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

    If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

    Mystic siphon doesnt work in trials alot of the time because Zos is bringing it more in line with all the other skills in the game.

    Tonight I ran vCR as the only necro in the group and siphon was working well. This leads me to believe that when multiple necros are in the same group they are stealing each other's corpses. Abilities that consume more than one corpse may take all available corpses away and leave other necros pissing in the wind. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe other necros should be able to steal the corpses I generate. If that is the case, ZoS should make it so the corpses generated by my skills belong only to me and cannot be used by another to cast an ability. This will allow each necro to manage his/her own corpse load and have skills cast consistently.

    If there is more than 1 necro in group it is wonky. If you are the only one it works fine.
