How do you buy?

im trying to get the xpac from the store but keep getting the message not authorised to buy. i looked through the forum and did everything in the post, same message. both cards i tried work and are not frozen etc. so i put a ticket in as there is NO live caht option. and what response did i get? a copy paste of the exact forum post i already read. utterly pathetic how little help they have given. its like the dont want to sell the game. but they again CS has never been great.

so how do i buy the game from the store. id rather not go to humble bundle/amazon/game but will if i must.

    I don't know about Xbox stuff, so can't help with that. What I can tell you is that the first response to a ticket is always an automated bot answer, and you'll get a more personalized answer after you responded to the not answer. If you did all that and still got a canned response, ignore me. But if you only got the one answer, make sure to respond to it to go through with the full ticket process.

    Edit: don't know where I got Xbox from either. Really sorry, I've been on an idiot streak recently it seems.

    Which store?

    Yeah as mentioned, if you are a new player trying to buy the game, make sure you aren't trying to buy the digital upgrade.

    Also if you own the game through steam, you will have to buy th upgrade from steam, I believe.

    Also if you own the game through steam, you will have to buy th upgrade from steam, I believe.

    After careful consideration (and oh! so much deliberation) we have concluded that you circumstance sounds too much like a l2p issue for it to be just a mere coincidence.

    I think you do, yes, but I didn't check what happens if you don't. It will most likely ask you to log in

    i have loged into my ESO account on the website,
    it is the pc version full CE expansion edition
    contacted the bank to make sure there are no problems with my cards
    cleared full history and cookies and attempted to purchese through firefox, chrome, edge, laptop and on my mobile phone.
    i submitted a ticket and got the copy paste of the forum post that tells you to do all this
    i have even rebooted my rig, and reinstalled all my browsers.

    everytime it gives the message transaction not authorised.

    Wild thought, but maybe your cards got erroneously flagged for having participated in skeevy transactions by their system? Only thing you can do right now is respond to that auto message and explain everything, again. That should get you help from an actual support person that can hopefully help you, or at least tell you what the flying **** is going on.

    Does your card work for other purchases (I mean, different fro ESO)?

    Have you put a security password lately, or changed the validation process of your card?

    Once I run into a similar problem for a double check verification

    Not authorized to buy and transaction not authorized are 2 different issues, while the first one can be connected with your Eso account, the second one in most cases means that the ESO store system cannot obtain authorization from bank system to bill your credit card account.

    Most common issues are:


    I) Incorrect details of Credit Card

    II) Credit Card declined from Credit Card Company/Bank

    III) Crossed Excess Credit limit available on your Credit Card

    IV) Credit Card Company doesn't allow Overseas transactions

    V) Mismatch of Shipping & Billing address


    You did not say did you double checked the CC information and card details that you entered on your account, like number, billing address and such, it must be correct.
    You said that you called your bank to check is your card ok, but you didn't say did you actually tell the bank support what the issue is. They can also see in their system declined purchase attempts and they maybe can tell you more why their system declined the transactions.
    There is a possibility that ESO support will tell you to contact your bank at first response, so while you wait for support double check that the CC details on your account are 100% correct and contact bank again and ask them to tell you the details regarding the failed transactions.

    Can you clarify whether you own the base game already or just made an account?

    If you are trying to buy the “full” CE edition but already own the game, it shouldn’t let you. You would need to buy the upgrade CE edition instead.

    I thought the site greyed out the full editions if you already own the base game, but I could be wrong.
