We want small/toy dog pets!

I can't be the only person who wants my character to have a tiny froofroo dog that lays on a silk pillow.

I have toy dogs IRL, and since their origin was basically lap dogs for nobility, ESO seems like the perfect setting for toy breeds.

Please give us some Tamriel versions of breeds like Pomeranians, Yorkies, Havanese, Shih-Tzu, Poodles, anything! Not everyone wants a huge dog!

Pomeranians are cute, but I want a Chihuahua! lol

Those Fennec Fox pets kind of look like little dogs... Also that little thing you get from Gold Coast.

A chihuahua would be amazing--maybe a little too on-the-nose if it was styled, somehow, to fit with the Aztec influences of the argonian culture/motif? Either way, I love the idea of lil puppers.

The Breton Terrier is smaller than the other dogs we have, isn't it? https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/breton-terrier/

So they can make smaller and different looking dogs. I'd like more different versions of the big ones, not just the same wolf, mastiff or "Nord" dogs all the time, but variation is nice for everyone.

Though if they add various versions of real life breeds, I hope they go for the more healthy looks of them and not overbred ones since people find them "cute".

I want small ESO dog pets as well. I have a small dog IRL (just small, not tiny) and missed the Breton Terrier because it came out while I was abroad. I mean, I'm really happy with every new pet published but if I could have a small (and perhaps fat and shaggy ;)) doggo pet I'd be soooo glad...

We do have a lot of large dogs already so some smaller options would be nice. I'm not too concerned with what breeds of dog/cat they release, but I hope we get some that actually relax when placed in housing. I buy pets mostly for the sake of livening up my housing and I'd love to see more that actually sit or lay down when placed instead of standing in the same position constantly.

I'm not convinced that miniature dogs would be such a good idea. Here are the main reasons.

Introducing them into ESO would mean the obligatory handbag would have to follow. Handbag transportation is the only mode of travel that these creatures are used to (it would seem) so making them run behind a galloping horse, into battle, would be tantamount to cruelty. So, no handbag, no mini dog.

The question that springs to mind is; Are handbags lore friendly or not? I have seen rucksacks, saddle bags and various sized pouches or sporrans but I don't recall ever having seen a handbag.

I remain open minded on the matter & would even go along with introducing them into the game, so long as it is in keeping with the lore of Tamriel. o:)

Jack Russells say hello and chew your handbag to pieces.

Jack Russells are the best dog and literally saved my life.

I was kind of surprised when Altmer didn't have small, white, fluffy dogs, in Summerset.

If anyone would have Bichon Frises and Cotons, they would.

I’m glad to see this has support! It’s such a small thing, but I think it would add so much lol. Variety is part of what makes housing and character customization so special!

You have, clearly, never met a Bichon Frise.

Beneath that white, fluffy, exterior lies a real slugs and snails character.

In the case of the boys, anyway.

They (variously - personalities do differ) enjoy running away at any given opportunity, shouting at horses and cows and rolling in poo.

They also have a widespread reputation for being totally untrainable (and not due to lack of brains!).

If they were human, most of them would probably be in jail.

I used to have a Bichon Frise and now have Havanese which are part of the Bichon family. I think the description that they’d be in jail if they were humans is amazingly apt. :D

I’m glad this has support! More pet variety!

    I'm going to ignore that.

My dog Fudge, who I had to say goodbye to after 14 years of great memories in January, was literally the only reason I am still alive.

Dealing with bullying and abuse IRL both at school and home, she was literally the only living thing I could 100% trust for my entire teenage years. And, with that, she was the only thing I had that gave me reason to wake up every morning.
