It appears that Dragon Knight was pretty popular back then. I wonder, if it would have been this popular, if the name were something simple. Like "Warrior"

EDIT: i was wrong. It seems, that NB was even more popular. Though i think it's because that is the obvious stealth class.

I had always been great at healing in other games, so I figured I would play to my strengths as a templar since they seemed like the healing class. Thank the divines I didn’t chose nightblade to mimic my skyrim character....

A Templar on DC side :open_mouth: SAY WHAAAAT!!!!

At the time I didn't really like it, so I made a NB but never played it and then made my Sorc on AD side and the rest is history

After testing out the feel of each class I settled on Nightblade. I had purchased the Gold Edition, and with Thieves guild, and Dark Brotherhood DLCs included, it seemed the best class for the content at the time.

Made a DK first, but only played it for maybe a week being dragged along by my gf. First character I actually ended up playing after coming back was Templar.

Well these guilds were always about sneaking around, and NB is the best sneaking class ever. But if you vote, then use the one you made first. With no testing, and probably low knowledge about the classes. The one you chose mostly, because of it's name, and your goal.

Magica Dragon Knight, loved the description and sounded right up my street. Played it until mid 30s level, then started a Magica Sorcerer, which quickly became my main, progressing past level 50 and onwards to CP 160.

That was what, almost 5 years ago? I now have 18 characters :)

I'm not sure which one was actually my first ever, because I created a bunch of random characters in my first beta just to try out the character creator, classes, different starting areas and other options and I can't remember what order I made them in.

But the first one I made that wasn't just random was a nightblade, because I wanted to recreate my usual TES character who focuses on sneak attacks with bladed weapons, light/medium armour and some magic as a back-up and the nightblade seemed like the best fit for that.

But after I discovered that your weapon and armour skills are entirely independent from your class and it only really determines the kind of spells you use I swapped to templar because that's the closest fit for the destruction and restoration magic she normally uses.

I chose a warden first, and even though this is now a very successful character, I wouldn't have made this choice if I had known more. I was attracted by the potential and gameplay possibilities of the newly introduced warden's description at the time, but what I failed to recognize was that a warden is a more complicated and nuanced character choice. It all worked out, of course, but when I went with a magsorc for my second character, I thought to myself, "Yes this is how it's supposed to be!"

I was main healer in GW1, and WoW. And my main race in Obvlivion, and Skyrim was Breton. So the choice was Breton Templar. As Templar seemed the right choice for a healer.

But i just loved heavy armor, and now i'm main tank. Though it have to say, that it's nice to get into dungeon within 2 seconds.

Stamina warrior (DK) back at launch, which required me to rely on weapon skills and Fighters Guild skills instead on class skills.since class skills were magicka-based back then. The only class skill he used and still uses is the Dragonknight standard ultimate.

First char was a Breton DK, I played him like a tank, even when I had no idea what I was doing, sword and board, and puncturing things to death :D

I moved on from him to my Templar that became my main since late 2014 until this day.

My first character I created in ESO was during my first beta weekend, a Nord Templar with a sword and shield on EP. I remember after the weekend that I didn't care for him too much and decided to try something else during the next beta session. I created a Wood Elf Sorcerer with a bow. I like her very much. So much that I recreated her at game launch and she has been my main for six years and counting.

My 1st character was a Breton Magsorc. I originally came to this game to play a Necromancer, back when it was launched on consoles, but quickly found that they didn't exist. So I made the next best thing to it, a mage who summons pets. Mained him for a few years and did every quest in the game before I started on other characters.

Well now you can go necro. Though i don't understand why wasn't in-game on start. Not that i want to play it, but let's face it. Necromancers were a big deal in the TES series since a long time. Oblivion, and Skyrim had a lot of enemies in Necromancer cults. Oblivion's mage guild antagonist was the greatest necromancer ever. Even in ESO base game there are plenty of necromancer enemies.

I had no idea about the game or what class could do what.
Imperial Stam Templar with sword and shield - can not remember which alliance he went with.
I reasoned that if I had a shield I would have some protection, and so then I would need a sword.
I really struggled with the game.
Once I could swap weapons I acquired a pair of daggers and started to work out that doing damage and killing them before they can damage (kill) you worked better.
I would put 1 in health, 1 in stamina, 1 in magica - after all you needed to balance your build.
After being re-built a couple of times he is not too bad now, but he hardly ever comes out to play.

When I first purchased ESO, I had no idea it was related to Skyrim or the other games/stories. I just downloaded from the Play Station store because I was bored one Saturday and I picked Dragon Knight because I thought the name was cool. Who knew I would turn into a daily player.
