Hey, first time posting here. I need some help updating my PvE sorcerer's build(It's been some time).
Here's the deal, I'm currently using Netch's Touch(Head, Shoulders, Rings and Necklace) and Law of Julianos(Everything else), can you guys recommend alternatives? (No trials sets please.)
I'm CP691 and I don't use pets.
Appreciate any help.

You could try new moon acolyte and either of other sets you have. Mag recovery on one or two rings.

Mother's Sorrow is a meta set and relatively easy to get, especially the jewelry. I would substitute Netch with it. Julianos is a fine set and only Burning Spellweave and False-God's Devotion are reasonable upgrades to it, so I would stick with Juli for now. You should get a monster set, though. Zaan and Ilambris are very useful.

You've got more CP than me so not sure how qualified I am to advise. But a cpl of thoughts. What content are you doing?

If dungeons, I'd second the mother's sorrow recommendation. I find it strong with or without pets. For non pet set up I've got BSW - seems pretty strong with up time in the 60%s but suspect the difference over julianos is marginal. On monster helms, if youre in pugs you're best bet is probably going to be slimecraw. I never seem to get much combat prayer uptime. Otherwise ilambris seems the best of the rest that I have, though Ive been a bit underwhelmed by its real world DPS.

If you're tooling around doing overworld solo pretty much anything will work. There are way more interesting setups than the traditional magika/spell damage/crit boosting sets. My non pet go to has become oerwhelming surge with thunderbug jewelry / staffs. Awesome combo. Another good combo is to pair overwhelming surge with baharaja arcane jewelry and staffs. Lazy damage, good mana restore and a solid health tap. Add a flavourful monster set and youre good to go :)

Forgot monster sets on overland. Grothdar works brilliantly with overwhelming surge and Thunderbug - three aoes centred on you.

No? It is absolutely the best set at the moment for magsorcs.

Whats your rotation friend? Or at least the skills on your bar

For a Sorcerer without pets, building for Spell Damage and Spell Crit is your best option. If you’re avoiding trial gear, then consider using Spell Strategist + Mother’s Sorrow. Spell Strat requires good Light Attack weaving to keep decent uptime, and it is slightly niche because it only increases damage against a single enemy, but it’s great vs bosses and makes a good front bar set because the 500 Spell Damage carries over to back bar for up to 5s.

    My skills on bar are:
Bar 1: Blockade of Storms; Force Pulse; Crystal Fragment; Boundless Storm; Elemental Weapon; Ult: Thunderous Rage.
Bar 1 Accelerate; Liquid Lightning; Harness Magicka; Power Surge; Inner Light; Ult: Shooting Star.

Not the best, I know, but I make do.

I think I'll change Netch's Touch for Mother Sorrow and use Zaan or Ilambris.
So, using Willpower jewelry is no longer worth it?

Willpower fell behind when staves were changed to count as two set pieces. You can now wear two five-pieces and a monster set with no problem. That's why no one's using Willpower at the moment.

    @JohnLoganHowlett
    So, few tips:
Illambris is worth it only if you run fire and lightning damage, good aoe damage, zaan in any melee single target fight (excluding vSS where it doesn't work).

The current "meta" morph for wall of elements is unstable wall of elements. Not much of dps gain, but, BUT, wall of elements should be backbar, and i will explain why.
Wall of elemenals proc the enchant of the bar it is on. It means, that if you have infused berserker enchantment on your backbar, as long as you keep wall up, it makes you have wooping 450 spell damage, even while you are on front bar. But for that you need to have it on back bar.

Inner light, better on front bar, since this is the bar you are on more, the bonuses have higher uptime.

No reason to run both elemental weapons and force pulse, after all, their effects are very similar.

    Sets:
If you have no sustain issues go new moon acolyte. Craftable.

Mother's sorrow is good all around. Can probably get jewls+2 body parts for cheap, or farm it.

Non perfected false god - i know you said no trial gear, but normal ss is a joke. Not a bad set, and fun.

    Julianos - wouldn't call it a bad set :3

So ye, since you dont plan on changing much i would probably recommend mother's sorrow with either julianos or new moon. Depends on your sustain.

I forgot to mention my staves:
Main: Lightning Staff, Charged weapon Enchantment, Nirnhoned
Back: Lightning Staff, Weapon Damage Enchantment, Infused.

I'm guessing I'll have to change those too.

Backbar lightning infused is fine, for dungeon setup when you don't have dk for engulfing sorcs can run lightning on back and front pretty nicely too without losing much damage. Nirn front is ok-ish too, but pretty sure infused and precise are better, can be fire staff as well. Tbh it is all small tweaks, not sure if worth the effort, practicing rotation will get u a much higher dps jump.
