Do you think new hardware will improve performance in Cyrodiil?

If so is it better to wait until then to continue playing regularly and paying subscription? (I primarily log in to play in Cyrodiil or Imperial City anyways.)

Any feedback is appreciated even if you're on pc.

Next Gen consoles will still be worst than a PC so to answer your question I'd say no.

Cyrodiil's issues are mostly server-side, not client-side. Zos has been challenged with improving performance.

Ironically Cyrodiil's performance used to be better with more players in a campaign.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. Performance atm on PS4 NA is awful so I was hoping maybe next gen would make it atleast go from awful to mediocre.

It might improve from one to another but still probably awful.

This does not mean console performance will be improved. It just means Cyrodiil is still a mess. Zos added a lot of load to the servers over the year and this impacted Cyrodiill most of all. They are behind the 8-ball in rectifying the mess they created.

You'll probably have some improvement as long as it's not dependent on ZOS's server performance.

I can't wait for Sony to show the new PS5. Hurry up already

Yeah, we will see some improvements (graphical, fps) but things like cyrodiil lag are down to the servers, which are not very good.

You can't make that claim since PC's have a wide range of performance benchmarks depending on components. Yes, certain PCs will still be better, but they usually rip more than $1,000 out of your wallet.

i think the performance issue are due to the engine, amount of content and mega server architecture...so i am not sure how much can really be done about it especially with the game keeping growing.

Everyone answered until now seems like have only played on pc. On OG ps4 it is not possible to engage in fights with more than 5 players, because of the fps drop. On pc this is not an issue. And when ps5 comes out, i doubt there will be many pcs outperforming it. There will be huge performance and load time improvement comparing ps5 and ps4. And as far as i can remember server lag is less on playstation compared to pc. So, i can safely assume, it will be better platform for cyrodiil in terms of performance.

I actually want to return to playstation but utility is just not comparable to pc. Tamriel trade center, equipping all gear directly from bank with two clicks, writworthy for all leveling needs, assist rapid riding, crown black market, and endgame pve community.

Check out the specs for the new Xbox, it’s pretty much a PC, only high end PCs will be way better but most people don’t have top tier PCs.
