It was not in the patch notes :(

The Wedding Flower Trellis furnishing changed with the update. ZOS added collision with it, now you cannot walk through them anymore. I used to love using them as a way to access hidden areas I would make, it added flavor to my houses. Now you cannot walk through them and they did not put the change in the patch notes.

Thank goodness they fixed that furnishing now they need to remove collision from the tops of canopy beds so they can be usable.

There have been complaints about inconsistent collision on furnishing items and rain being able to pass through furniture without collision, which is a bit immersion breaking.

This change might be part of an attempt to address that.

I was discussing this with a friend of mine the other day. For her, something changed; she had trellises that she could walk through. For me, nothing changed; I could never walk through mine. She bought hers in the first batch that was released, but I was brand new then and could not afford them, and bought mine the next year. We think that maybe they changed it at some point in that time gap but had missed changing the original batch, and just realized it and changed that just now. So weird.

I would love being able to use canopy beds! The one from the Hearts Day bundle is so nice, but is only eye candy. As a roleplayer I wish I could sit on it, have it be more than a space-taker.

Yeah inconsistent rain has been an issue for a while.

    Good.

You shouldn't be able to walk through furniture!
I used to love using them as a way to access hidden areas I would make, it added flavor to my houses.
...and it -would- be neat if that was still possible... in a different way.
    Hey, ZOS!
...how about selling some "secret doors" and such as a pack sometime? Illusionary walls you -can- walk through, rotating walls that are activated by interacting with the torch on them, or sliding bookcases that move when clicked?

This is really disappointing news. I have had a work area in one of my gardens that's completely screened off behind some of these :(

That’s a great idea. It would be so refreshing to see ZOS putting more imagination into game elements like housing and outfitting.

I love seeing the fabulously inventive houses players build - that Moon Sugar Meadow space is a great canvas for players’ vision. Things like this would add so many more options for them to play with.

Exactly the sort of thing the luxury furnishing elf should be offering.

I have never been able to walk through those :| Doesn't make much sense to walk through a trellis either. Some rose bushes? Unpleasant but possible. But a trellis? Not so much.

    Agreed!

I sooooo want a small secluded ramshacke hut with a "secret cellar" in morrowind for my dunmer assassin girl... I'd furnish the upper room all prim and proper, then have all the nasty assassin tappings (and a shrine to mephala) in the secret cellar... it'd be a blast! And far more fun then a hidden door in some cave...

But who knows, maybe someday we might get that and more. They -do- keep adding new homes now and then...

Oh this is good and bad. Have friends with awesome houses that have hidden areas and this will mess those up,
but it would be nice if things were consistent... like all(?) the rugs besides the original High Elf ones having no collision.
This one hates to lose her feet in rugs!

*Side note, all this collision fixing is causing a lot of probs with mobs agroing through walls xD

Noo! Don't ruin my tapestries! Walking through tapestries isn't that weird since you can easily vision it as just brushing it to the side.

    Agreed.

If its something like a tapestry or curtain (and don't we wish we had a nice selection of curtains to decotate our indoor-doorways with? From bead curtain to brocade lace...) then it would be neat to keep those without collision, as people can brush them aside.

Maybe for hedges... it would be soooo cool if we had a collision-enabled hedge maze set that you could also buy a non-collision hedge piece for that looks a tiny little bit different (like, blue flowers instead of red ones or something like that) so you can make secret hedge maze passages... (maybe while hiding a small collision enabled piece in it so you have to -jump- through the "illusionary" one)

And definitely the "illusinonary wall piece" you can put behind a bench to hide a doorway... come on ZOS, we -need- secrets in our homes and hideouts!!! ;)

Discussed the meagre amount of tapestries and even more so curtains with a friend just here the other day. It's weird we haven't gotten more. It's a bit tiring using the khajiit and Alinor ones over and over, and they don't fit with everything.

Hedges with a secret passage option would be great, along with illusionary walls, moveable bookshelfs, trapdoors, a hidden teleport rune etc. I love making hidden rooms and these kind of things would make it so much more enjoyable.

I like they changed it because I use it as a fence or a thing for a top floor thing it makes no sense that people could walk through it after leaning on it and falling to their deaths.
