What will the new Vampire Skills be

Like the title - what are your thoughts/hopes for how the new Vampire Skill line will be
(focus more on active abilities)
I was thinking while you are in Vampire Lord form, if you dodge. the animation will be the bats, and running will be flying like in Skyrim.
Im so excited for the revamp, I can hardly wait, I figured why not talk about the abilities until we get em xD

    I can tell you what I am hoping not to see:
    Copy - paste NB cloak skill (just like they did with NB fear & Turn Evil - fighers guild skill).
    And here is why:
    1. Last reason someone would want to play NB will be gone and class will simply become obsolete.
    2. Imagine sorcs, templars, wardens or necros having access to cloak. I mean imagine all those broken ganking combos... Trust me, you don't want that...

    I just wish the vampire lord ultimate called Blood Scion will be more like a toggle ability. Toggle the form, able to exit it and enter it again at will like a lesser power but if the bat swarm ultimate the old one is still tied into the ultimate and is ready to fire off you would have to release it then click R to transform back into a humaniod form or just use character attributes screen to toggle it off as another option. Having it work a lot like warden bear. Vampire lord was a lesser power in Elder Scrolls Five Skyrim. I would like to see it have that feel like the Skyrim Vampire Lord did. Hence the toggle option.

    They can make the form have an augment effect for certain vampire powers and make its attacks more like the sorcs overload ability. Except its main attacks with its claws would be based on what weapon you have had on you before the transformation. Say you have a staff that did fire damage did up to 1037 damage. Had a 2400 fire damage effect in the form. Your vampire lords claws would have 1037 magic damage and would be able to do 2400 fire damage. Enchantment would still drain off your weapon even though its not seen visually.

    So basically my idea would be is the vampire lord transformation allowing build and class skills to be used in that form just not weapon skills. Then benefit from all passive traits and racial passives even in that form. So it could basically act like a polymorph except its an active polymorph instead of a collectible. I do think for balancing reasons it wouldn't be able to float above water or water walk. Also I think its flight mode would work if you are sprinting. So you lift up and fly but it would be limited to sprinting.

    Besides the Blood scion ultimate. (I hope its not like werewolf and more like my suggestion or hopes for it.)
    We know there is going to be three new vampire abilities, possibly a vampire passive revamp likely keeping the beneficial passives players use and then change the passives to include the new vampire abilties and maybe augmentations for the Blood Scion Form.

    They are keeping vampire drain and mist form however they might rework those. One of the new abilties we know of will be a hypnotic gaze ability. Another a unique slash attack. Its possible we could see a bat teleport ability possibly using similar functionality to Sorcs streak ability. I don't know we will have to wait and see.

    We already more or less know what the skill line will be:

    Ult: vampire lord

    abilities:
    1. Life drain (Will probably still function similar to current life drain with different morphs/description. It will be a life drain spell. Was confirmed to remain in the kit someway)
    2. Mist dash. (99% going to be re-vamped mist-form as seen in the trailer. A speedy streak-like mist dash that probably deals damage. A mist ability was confirmed to remain in the kit)
    3. Feral claw slash. (Was confirmed on stream)
    4. Hypnotic gaze (was confirmed on stream)
    5. Bat swarm teleport. (This is the most likely ability for #5. They put a LOT of effort into showing the vampire in the trailer turn into a swarm of bats, I highly doubt them not using that somehow in the new kit. Also not to mention they'll need to put a bat ability somewhere.)

    Undeath is the only passive we know is staying, but not to what extent.

    There's not really much else to speculate unless you want to discuss how the vamp lord ult will work.

    Should of made the Vampire Lord a polymorph like the Werewolf Lord, does not make sense for a form which should be 100% controllable to be on a timer.

    I want to see a fully developed skill line.

    * A basic damage dealing skill - Such as a melee strike of some kind, with "claws" or a "bite". Something mid level damage with added bleed would be appropriate.

    * A gap closer - Vampires are fast, & can often fly, this is not controversial. A "dash" or "teleport" gap closer such as NB or Sorcs would be ideal (it should also do damage, or certainly have a morph that does).

    * A "snair" - Vampire mythology is rife with "hypnosis" or prey being rendered immobile. This is just a no brainer, Vampires should have one.

    * A heal - the existing one is ok, if a little awkward to use.

    * Mist form - its OK as is, but I think there is much room for improvement, it doesnt see much use.

    * Ultimate - its OK as is and actually quite good fun. More damage would be nice :)

    (It occurs to me I may have already answered in this thread. Oh well).

    Well it would have even made a nice polymorph. I hope Vampire lord isn't on a timer. I really hope that it isn't and they find some way to do it without having to add a timer too it. I know they can do it if they wanted too.

    Vampire Lords tend to be more humanoid in appearance which technically allow them to do other things in that form. They are not like werewolves.So they could program it so most class skills maybe not ultimate's could be used in that form.
    It would be neat if one can plop vampire drain on ability number one and put for example vampires bane on ability number two. However they would be limited to class abilities and maybe even armor abilties. Maybe even undaunted and several mages guild abilties could be made usable in that form as well.

    Someone pointed out somewhere on the forums they look to be using the minotaur skeletal model or animations for the vampire lord.

    They also seem to be able to use weapons so they could allow the same functionality with them to allow Vampire lords to use their weapons abilties as well. Since they are using similar skeletal model animations.

    Transform into Bat : +200 % evade, health reduced to 1 (one) , fly away to escape (except there is no flight in this game so you are pretty much foooked. )

    Form of mist : Immune to physical damage, 300% damage from fire (evaporation), Cold changes you into an ice cube with 0 movement and physical attacks will work.

    Night sight : see clearly in the dark (which everyone else can already do by adjusting their graphics)

    Scruffy Looking : since you can't see yourself in a mirror

    Stake to the heart : getting hit by an arrow has a 75% chance of immobilizing the character until someone else pulls the arrow out

    Better than Werewolf, then nerfed to mediocrity once the Vampire season is over.

    I would add a new "illusion" skill tree available for everyone, that would contain invisibility as ULTIMATE. While it would "copy" the NB cloak. It would still cost ultimate which does not egenerate for free, and using it would prevent using other ultimates for a while.

    Also it's not like any other class has any "exclusive power" either. At least nothing nearly as mechanic, and game changing as the NB sneak. The ability to pass through pretty much all enemies in a dungeon, and sneak attack 100% of the time. It's like removing the resto staff skill tree, and making the game, that only Templars could heal others.

    For the Vampire skills i would add an "execute" ability, that also works as feeding, if you kill a humanoid with it. Beyond that it doesn't really matter for me.

    This got me thinking whether vampires in the Elder Scrolls universe can see themselves in a silver mirror. I have never seen any lorebooks related to it and some games just completely skip out on reflections of characters. Oblivion cast character reflections to the water at least but no mention of mirrors anywhere when it came to vampires. We have seen some journals where the vampires know what they look like, but as usual no mention of how they know.

    The one thing making me think they can see their own reflection is that you'd think carrying a mirror would be in some lore books detailing how to identify vampires, but you never see such mentions anywhere.

    It will be mistform, vamp drain spammable, bat swarm gap close, + a stun "charm" your opponent, and 1 additional ability (likely a major buff or a heal) and then the ulti

    The skills will probs have additional affects when used in vamp lord form too.

    I think, if they did that, shortly after people will be like: "Wait a second, NB skill is basically a free ultimate !" - and the witch hunt nerfs will continue... leading to more nerfs... so nope....

    Bat Swarm- Cloudy Swarm use to have an invisibility effect which was cool I wished they kept it was made your character go invisible while the swarm is flying around.It was really neat as it made you feel as if you were transforming into a swarm of bats. At some point for reasons they decided to get rid of that effect. Replacing the Cloudy Swarms ability with a gap closer.

    One of the powers Tes Vampires have been shown to possess is invisibility. Cloudy Swarm use to give them a beneficial form that allowed players to do extra damage. While firing off the ultimate its a pity they removed it. But it seems like the Ultimate might be replaced entirely with Vampire Lord. So we will have to see how it works.
    However its possible they could be giving Vampires access to a Bat Teleport ability that might work a lot like Sorcs Streak Skill.
    I bet if they do that there will be nerf threads all over the place with that skill. But we will have to wait and see what they do.

    The old cloudy swarm is the main reason why I think the new vampire skill line will have at least 1 skill that turns them into a swarm of bats.

    Now instead of just making the player invis, they can literally work with turning into a cloud of bats and teleporting.

    I think the gap closer will then be put on mist-form similar to how we see in the trailer and it will become a mega offensive ability. (Think NB TP) And the new bat swarm teleport will be the 'mobility' ability.

    I really hope to see some aesthetic changes to vampires. Something like:

    Phase 1: No appeareance changes (Your character remains as you created them)
    Phase 2: Slightly paler skin and glowing eyes
    Phase 3: Very pale skin and glowing eyes. Subtle marked veins.
    Phase 4: As the actual p4 in-game appearance

    I also wonder how the hypnotize spell will work
    they also said feeding will be like in previous games - so on sleeping npc's?

    They need more negatives. Every endgame build shouldn't recommend you are one.
