Good Morning,

This thread has been created by your player base to help direct your decision to implement a battleground system that encompasses the entire player base and not just one group or the other. Please implement a battleground system that allows pre-made groups of three or greater to only play against each other, while allowing solo and duo queue groups to play against each other. Other games have successfully done this and it has really benefited them. This is an MMO (massively multiplayer online) game and as such I would like to play battlegrounds with my family and/or friends.

The title has been corrected.

Just FYI, I would suggest editing your title as petitions are not permitted in the forums.

That could be why the development team is so out of touch with it's player base.

if you read the patch notes you would understand a) why they are doing this b) its a temporary experiment

"Public Test Servers" should be the place to test said changes, not live, not where it interferes with the masses of their player base.

there is not enough traffic on the PTS to test the system under stress, even though it was tested on the PTS found to be stable enough to test on the live server. as i said read the notes then you will have a better understanding :)

LOL no. It does not take a petition to provide constructive feedback. Zos had made it clear that is the type of feedback they want and pay attention to.

As someone who does not like the solo queue, we have now I bothered to read that Zos is seeing how this affects the game. An experiment as Alien pointed out above and Zos can only get this information from live as the PS does not have enough activity. As such it really seems it is you that is out of touch.

You should visit the forums more often. Zos specifically stated the PTS does not have enough traffic to test this.

Hey paul.olesonb14_ESO :) We see you, and your feedback. Just wanted to clarify our "No Petitions" rule. This thread will be fine if you simply change the word "Petition" to "Request". We do not allow petitions because they don't promote meaningful discussion here on the forums. Usually they devolve pretty quickly to +1 comments. On the other hand, requests, suggestions, and feedback allow for more open, meaningful discourse. Mind making the edit? We'd like to keep this discussion open for you.

I don't see how "white knighting" them is going to improve the game, I have heard, read, and experienced this problem myself. This sort of "test" should have never gone live.

For whatever reason my forum account does not have access or the ability to "edit" my previous posts. I don't have the "Edit Post" button on the bottom right, just "Quote / Report", so if you would like to change it your welcome to. Thank you for acknowledging my request.

there was a huge problem with pre-made groups vs random groups and the balance in battlegrounds was off, this "period" on single player queuing is to test its viability and its over-all impact to the out comes of the battles, many things are being taken into consideration like the MMR and group dynamics for example. whilst you may not like the system at the moment, it is something that needs to be done live to get the most relevant data to improve Battle Grounds over-all for Everyone

You are entitled to your opinion. but constructive criticism with suggested solutions get better results than blind complains with no input aside from what amounts to [Snip] rants. While you offered a suggestion of a sort here you failed to make it constructive because you did not read. neither the patch notes nor the forum rules. No one is white knighting anyone. So by violating those rules you will not only get your thread closed (and thus dismissed when it otherwise wouldn't need to be), but also risk a ban from the forums. So rather than continue going on a tear and insisting that you are right when you very clearly aren't I would suggest doing as the mod requested. Change the word petition to request in your title and original post so your voice and opinion aren't silenced out of necessity to enforce established rules. It wouldn't change anything else about the thread or post except make it fall in line with forum rules.

I merely pointed out facts about how Zos handles the forums that you seemed to be unaware of. That is not white knighting and I am clearly not trying to enforce their policy, just informing.

We are all entitled to our opinion. My opinion is I do not like the solo only queue for BGs but as someone who does actually test on the PTS I am fully aware that Zos cannot replicate the load we have on live, even with their load simulators. That is not an opinion but a fact.

Many of us asked for this during the pts, and repeatedly since. It is a good idea.

Unfortunately several of my friends, all new players, already quit over the change. But maybe they'll come back if this change is made... and it would give me a big reason to keep playing
