Still No Fix For Missing News Feed In The Updated Launcher Win7

Was hoping there would be a fix by now but guess not. Ever since the new launcher patch on Feb 25th no news feed will load. ZOS if you are not going to fix the issue then let those that still use Win7 revert to the old launcher. Gets a little old when it seems every new patch, update or dlc breaks something in your game.

You shouldnt even be using win7 anymore, its no longer supported by MS.

Ppl, windows 7 had ended its life cycle. You will just be running into more and more bugs because it no longer receives updates.

Everyone must move at once to Windows 10, it has a better class of bugs and its updates break just as many things as Windows 7 ! Moreover, you get to reinstall it twice a year !

I upgraded one Windows 7 machine to Windows 10 at the weekend, and once things have been proved to be ok I'll upgrade the other one. There's no panic to do so, however, and lets face it - the only reason most people upgraded to Windows 10 when they did is because it was the latest shiny new toy and it was free! Even then the conversion rate was well below Microsoft's expectations with a lot of people reverting to Windows 7.

The upgrade did fix the launcher news feed, but there is a lengthy and complex suggestion from ZOS detailed in the original thread on this whereby the issue can possibly be fixed, but it isn't worth it as the news feed isn't significant for most players anyway. ZOS should fix it, nonetheless.

If I upgrade from Win 7, it will be to Linux, not Win 10.

There is some suggestion on the Bug Report forum that this issue is now affecting some Windows 10 users too.

I dont know will it help in your case, but on one occasion (after the patch), the news feed didn't work on my launcher either.
I clicked on the that little gear above the news feed (game options) ans selected "Check for updates" and it loaded news again.

I'm on win10 tho...

Really, try Game Options > Check for updates, it loaded news for me.
