Request: review Housing coding !

At the moment there is a very frustrating problem with the TESO housing that I find it quite gross that this is not being corrected sooner.

Detail 1: When you want to put an element with possible interaction on it on a wooden platform or something else the element in question usually an element to sit on it does not seem to be recognized which prevents any possible action, really frustrating, it would be good to remedy this.

Another point, which is largely related to the first one, I wanted to put a workshop in a kitchen and impossible to use it because of a probable restriction of distance between the workshop and any structure, it really annoyed me to have put this workshop in the chimney but finally not being able to use it, it would be nice to be able to review this tolerance to have a little more flexibility for the installation of various elements.

Here is an example with my cooking workshop:

Oh there are so many issues like that. Better start doing something else if those things bother you, because housing is the most neglected part of this game. Item and feature requests are ignored for years.

The "solution" to your problem is to buy the winterveil fire which is also a cooking station, and fits in that fireplace. I have it in my Mournoth Keep.

And also, the woodworking table is fairly impossible to NOT have to place in the MIDDLE of the room due to collision issues with walls within two meter distance of the wretched thing as well :D

I was really disappointed about interactive furnishings having to be further from other items for them to work... when I was decorating my Orbservatory back in the day, I had a plan of using the normal crafting stations but then decorate them with CWC furniture in such a way that they would look more clockwork-like, but soon discovered it was impossible if I wanted to keep their functionality.

The mere fact that any interactable object simply stops working with even a hit of collision is the bane of my existence. I can't even properly design a dining area because the chairs stop working if they are too close to the table...and by too close I mean like 3 feet away.

is it a usable cooking workshop? because the goal is to be able to make my popo at home, quietly ^^

I'm not against this idea either, but that's another debate (well, debate for the devs), because in my opinion, the limit is related to the consoles.

I also had this problem with the enchantment or alchemy workshop (one of the two) or because of a simple "tongue" (I'll put it this way ^^) for a book, I couldn't lay the stone block as I wanted because of this damn tongue overflowing from the table. :D

I took the liberty of mentioning this problem now as we are currently in the phase of recoding the game as much motivated the devs on the throw, "make a stone out of a stone", as the expression ^^^ says so well.

You mean the Winter Festival Hearthfire? Thanks for this. I've been holding off buying it because I didn't think it would work in the fireplace either.
I don't comment here often but when I do, I get [snip]

Collision issues are a thing; they have been for some time.

The code is sadly not even spaghetti but one very long noodle.

Attempts to fix various exploits in PvP have caused a multitude of domino effects.

Your complaints being the first (I noticed) a while ago (Not new!)
and of late we have mobs agroing through floors and running straight through walls.

    *sigh*
