Event Tickets, Where?

Had this to happen a few days ago, no tickets dropped. I`ve done all three dailies and i`ve been hunting for 3 hrs. I got all the crates and the strongbox. Logged out and logged in a couple of times, even went into the Dragonstar area so I guess no tickets today.

If you got at least 1 Murkmire Strongbox you should already have gotten 3 tickets with it, unless you are maxed.
If not, then yeah it's screwed up.
However, do read the announcement again more carefully. Turning in quests has nothing to do with tickets or Murkmire Strongboxes. Only killing things does.

This implementation for tickets is severely flawed. One can expect the zone to be crowded with players farming enemies for drops during an event, if you run into someone doing a large pull or pulling enemies as they run past you while you are fighting, enemies can get tagged and killed elsewhere. Then you would have lost tickets through no fault of your own.

You may not even know it and waste hours farming to no avail. The way tickets are implemented, the drop environment is not something the programmers or the players are in control of. Players then suffer because ZOS failed to implement a working system, and players get blamed for their bad luck by ZOS support when they submit a ticket.

I had this happen to me a couple of days ago, too. I send a bug report in game and didn't even get any kind of reply. I had assumed that one would at least get a confirmation that they received the message. Nothing. I didn't really expect to get the missed tickets because obviously making as many people miss event tickets is the very and only point of this recent implementation of event tickets, i.e. making them only available from looting corpses. Perhaps it works and drives more people to buy tickets from the crown store. I don't know about that, but I do know that this definitely works in making me very annoyed about these "events".

Well the reply I got is:
"If you are continually getting the wrong type of loot, you may be having bad luck. Your chances could turn around at any time, so keep trying!"

Well sure, blame players for their bad luck for their flawed design, and have a laugh asking them to grind even more when they are locked out of getting tickets for the day through no fault of their own.

Tickets should never be RNG based, especially when there's already a cap on how many you can have at once. The fact that you can miss the mob that has your tickets (even with the highlight option enabled it can be hard to miss the yellow if you're out killing things where there's a lot of plants or other things blocking your view of killed mobs) and not realize it, and just think you're having bad RNG, is absolutely awful. Tickets should be the one thing you get guaranteed, regardless of the event. Yes, it was a good idea to say any mob can drop your event items so people wouldn't have to camp bosses or mess around with stuff like that if they didn't want to, but making it RNG based was just a downright stupid call to make. Especially so considering the Plasm Pet and Stake Memento can ONLY be gotten during this event, as the pieces for them go under the Fragment tab in your Collections and thus can't be traded or sold; missing tickets means having even less of a chance of getting them, since no Strongbox is guaranteed to have any pieces and and it's like pulling teeth from a crocodile to earn additional ones.

ZOS is so focused on making so much of this game RNG based and it ends up turning things that could be or have been fun into an annoying grind.

My tickets are not capped and I watch the timer reset like a hawk. So, I know it has to be a bug because everytime I get the gold Strongbox I would get the tickets. I have paid for the game, ESO+ and the new Greymoor DLC (ranting a bit) I do expect to get my moneys worth. Thanks for the comments.

I do not group and kill only "normal" mobs until I get to loot my tickets. Have gotten my tickets every day with this procedure.

If you didn’t get tickets, send in an Online Support ticket to have ZOS look at it, @madman65.

If you really are paying attention to the timer reset, you have those details you can include in the ticket ... which helps the resolution time with Support.

Should be an open and shut case as long as you follow up on the first canned ticket response.

Something weird is happening with murkmire drops.

Killed stuff enough for two cp bar (although enlighted) to get ticket. Before maintenance it was just 2-5.

And in total only like 5% of total kills had any loot.

Had same issue. Killed WB, got no loot coz there were over9000 players. Got no tickets (I had 2 at that moment). I killed another boss, had loot but no tickets. Zos knows how to do events.

I feel like the odds of getting tickets got nerfed after the patch. It was on 1st max 3rd mob before now it's on 5th - 10th. Didn't miss any tickets but the first thing I do is going to Murkmire out in the wild and killing stuff, preferably bigger monsters.

Exactly the same thing happened to me whereas *every* other day this was the first thing I do in Murkmire & I would get my tickets & first strongbox.
