Even though i did a hard reset the day of the update i had to do another the next day before it was reconciled.

I VERY ERRONEOUSLY BLAMED ZOS AND THEIR UPDATE, AND I AM VERY SORRY FOR HAVING DONE SO. I APOLOGIZE. SO SORRY!

It just happened to coincide with the update. All is great here. TY for your great update.
I simply must protest. There are no Penguin avatars for me to use in the forums.

BTW, I use arch too

I had a different issue causing my disconnects a while back but it was an issue with my ISP as well. Even my ISP did not detect any issues when they ran a remote test. It required actual monitoring of my connection since the issue disappeared as fast as it occurred.

Most of our issues with disconnects are local issues except when it is widespread as PC/Mac is experiencing now.

    Quite.

The ISP is often blamed, but almost never to blame.

And they typically charge you to send someone out to check that the connection is working.

    Find a better provider.

I have not been charged for a service call in years. All they have required is attempts to solve it or detect it remotely before sending someone out. Basically, just one phone call.

Sounding suspiciously like Zenimax - blaming anyone and everyone except the game.

It is odd you would come to that conclusion as Zenimax and Zos have nothing to do with this. In my case noted above the ISP found 4 separate issues, two of which were directly related to my connection dropping, 3 of which were within one block of my PC.

Pretty sure Zenimax and Zos are not coming into my neighborhood and messing with my internet connection so I would say you are wrong.

Also, both companies would have nothing to do with the fact that ATT and Comcast do not charge me for technicians visiting my home. If they are then thanks would be in order.

Many of us only have access to one provider. ;)

That being said my ISP will charge me for the issue if they decide rightly or wrongly that the problem is in my wiring or equipment. A cable company technician friend of mine says they have been told on no trouble found calls to blame the household wiring and bill their time. I'm more fortunate than most in that I have the equipment and tracing tools to prove it isn't on my side of the wall.

This is not even in question anymore - Gina said they are testing a fix already - one cannot test a fix for something what hasn't be confirmed to be an issue on ZOS's side. So this is a fact now, basically confirmed by Gina's update post.
