So lets start from downloading and finish up with the new dungeons and content.
So on the subject of downloading it was rather fast for me, roughly 1.5-2 hours the whole thing.
Ive seen a lot of salty and irritated forum posts crying about it. All i can say is get yourself a new pc and proper first world internet connection kek.
Jumping into the game i got straight into the new dungeons to see what the new content is all about. Ran through both blind and generally it was a pleasant experience.
Now lets break it down a bit. The layout of the dungeon the design and artwork looks really well in both. Its pleasing to the eyes and generally nice to play around in.
Here is the problem specifically to icereach.
You only get to understand the mechanics when you get to do last boss on hardmode. The bosses simply die way too fast even with "bad"dps too, so you dont get to see them played out and understand the significance of them. And this all makes it kinda pointless. The hardmode itself is deffinietly fun but its rather underwhelming when it comes to difficulty.
This also applies to Unhallowed grave. None of the previous boss mechanics are present on last boss hardmode. This isnt necessarily bad because at least its like a fresh thing to see. But last boss hm is really lackluster when it comes to mechanics and overall difficulty. I do understand that you want to satisfy the roleplayers and the questers too but if the difficulty level is too low -which is in this case -it just makes this whole thing miss the satisfaction at the end. Especially on the players that are a bit more invested in harder content.
Generally i liked this patch and i welcome the changes. In quite a long time this was the one that didnt have anything that made absolutely no sense. So good job on this one. Looking forward to the future updates and content!
