ESO events history calendar

Hi everyone!
I made a thing (and thought it may be useful to someone else too): The Elder Scrolls Online events history calendar

It's all past and future (when announced) events dates in one place where you can see when to expect next one and which one it will be (except Midyear Mayhem, this one is all over the place). Older events are in paler color, to show more clearly when the last one was. Hover over or tap event name or dots to get all that event elements highlighted.

P.S. Works in Chrome and Edge, not in IE (yet)
P.P.S. It's not really colorblind-friendly (suggestions welcome), but I hope highlighting helps

There is already more detailed calendar that I use.

I'm not even trying to compete!
Just wanted something smaller, something where you can see whole year of events at once and, say, plan a vacation so that you won't miss anything.

I wouldn't have thought that possible but looking at the calendar there is that 1 week in May and 3 in June and 1 in August.

That's events for four years. Maybe should add a toggle to show only latest ones to make it less intimidating

Although, yes, we are running out of event-free time

And I sure do hope Anniversary event this year won't be 6 weeks long

Toggle is here!

There are still some events like Summerfall and Dragon Rise that couuuuld be bundled, or CWC event that wasn't repeated yet, but you will still get better impression of what a single year looks like

Well its abouth what it used to be
Longer version started about 2 years ago if im not mistaken where it was extende by 2 weeks due to connection issue on pc and last year it was5 week for 5 years anniversary

Thanks @Nairinhe! As for your question about chapter promos, I would think leaving them separate for now would be fine. Once there's a dozen of them.... then maybe their own category.

Does it count as necro if that's to remind that something's alive?

Layout stull ugly as heck, but I'm keeping it up to date and added tooltips, so you can check out which year's Undaunted was in January or when which motif was made available.

The dots are super hard to look at for too long, perhaps try columns for each year in each grid. I like the idea thou.

Only event dots, or stuff releases dots too? Is the problem that they are small, or that there's a lot of white space between them?

Changed a bit what counts for "old" events, so single CWC event or recently skipped TG/DB or Orsinium events (miss those a bit) won't look as new and fresh as really recent events.
Also merged Summerfall, Dragon Rise and Lost Treasure into "Season's Events" because they created some colourful unreadable clusterheck while actually being more of a same regular event.

P.S. Trubunal event included!

It should show the latest version, like any website, the rest depends on how much your browser loves it's cache, I guess.
At least for me it takes maybe a minute tops after the commit for my Chrome to show the changes.

If it has "Season's Chapter Event" in the list, it's fresh.

@Sylvermynx and if you mean info being up-to-date, I try to do it ASAP after I see the info (usually from twitter), but as updates usually arrive while I'm working, I may have some other piece of code to attend to at the moment and may end up being a couple of hours late

I thought about adding some kind of "subscribe for notifications" thing (there must be some ready-made solution, right?), but there's already dev tracker, and articles, and twitter for events and releases, and if I tweak this thing itself to be a bit less of an eldritch horror, I post here.

Heh. I don't find it an "eldritch horror" - but then I've not only used Excel spreadsheets and Access databases (now those last ARE "eldritch horrors"!) for years, but I've also built websites, and twiddled browser addons.

I was more concerned if there's something I have to do like clear cache/hard refresh to make sure the latest info is what displays.

Those are both really nice calendars, will use both. What I thought it meant though was a calendar of the Elder Scrolls world, you know 1st seed harvest, whatever and historical events in the Elder Scrolls world. I'd like to see one of those too.

The wikis usually have those; I think BenevolentBowd probably has it somewhere on the site as well.
