So Update 25 think it will be better performance or worse?

The goal of this update is improving Performance and load times. Which is stated to be what will happen. The shield changes. Updates to the way the game is handled and other things. So on all that work they put it will it be better then before or will it be worse? Your thoughts?

The games performance has been really bad last two weeks, honestly i hope that they did not do that intentionally.
Meaning, they fix the intentional bad performance and call it a "performance fix".

When I tried the PTS, there was a noticeable improvement. So, that should translate into real-world improvements on the live servers.

Every single time ZOS ever said they are going to improve something, it got worse. Every single time.

i guess after they will have hammered out all the bugs introduced with this patch (and why would it work right away), it will be better - so far they put in the effort to make this game better in so many ways, I am faithful that it will be fine.

Knowing ZOS it can only get worse. I just hope at least it will stay the same.

Huge difference on the PTS so hopes are high for live, its not going to be a magic bullet were everything is fixed but what they have done will go some way to helping alot

It will be worse of course. If we are going to speculate on something we know so little about then we will go for doom and gloom. It seems to be what gamers clammer for.

BTW, only 3 options are needed. Better, Worse, Same. As it is many of those options are just duplicates.

I want to be optimistic. I really want to believe like, hell yeah ESO is gonna be awesome now! When it comes to performance.
However one has to face reality. I think ESO will run better than previously, how much better...no clue. We will just have to wait and see.

If we want a real test we should jump into Cyrodiil during prime game time. If we experience way less lag and loading etc, then performance has definitely been improved!

Zos must be crossing their fingers because if it doesn't get better, its the beginning of the end because everything said from now on will just be empty promises.

uhmm - they said performance with loading stuff and so - who said it would benefit pvp?- I didn't see that. And it is anyway a matter of how you play in groups - the more area effects on a lot of people are to be processed, the more lag you will experience - and there is not much ZOS could do about that beside nerfing these effects into Oblvion.

Considering you can't even download the patch now, that's a good indication for how great the game will be after patching.

Well, after having had a look at performance fixes in the patch notes - there are changes to put a lot of effects on parallel processes which could actually help pvp performance as well - at least it seems to be a promising move into the right direction.

I guess it will be better after one or two weeks, I honestly don't expect any better performance in the launch week, I don't even expect to get to play today, I predict the performance will be horrible at least this first week.

I expect some things better at the expense of others. E.g we might get a lower on average, but more consistent frame rate. They'll look at the pain points and eliminate them, but not every change will be positive for everyone.

And of course, if your problem is the internet connection in between you and ZOS's servers, it won't change at all.

Well....the thing is on the PTS it isn't loaded at all. The performance on the PTS has always been top tier for me since there are only a small amount of players on the server.

After years of dealing with ZOS saying one thing and delivering another, I don't have high hopes that this will go well overall. Yes, there will be a decent amount of people who have no problems, but I see a majority of people experiencing things like having to reinstall the game several times because of manifest errors or other issues, or things in-game being broken in one way or another. It happens literally every big update, so why would this one be any different?

That being said, I hope it goes smoothly and nothing breaks and a bunch of people aren't out of the game for days because their download and/or reinstall broke or something. But you know what they say, expect the worst and be surprised if it doesn't happen.

ESO has always worked quite well for me. The only times I experience noticeable lag is during an intense trial boss or a very crowded battle in Cyrodiil. For example when 50 players are fighting at one keep. So far I can't really tell if the game runs smoother, I haven't crashed yet unlike some. That's something.

I think loading screens got a bit faster, hard to tell.
