Once in awhile i come across players who seem to either freeze or drain my stamina/magicka when i fight them, regardless of debuffs/poisons/abilities put on me. I can be running around out of LOS and my resources are just not coming back. Has anyone run into a problem like this before? It's extremely frustrating and I have 0 explanation to it. Even the combat log shows nothing out of the oridnary.

✭✭✭The resource poisons don't show up nowhere, neither a debuff bar nor combat logs. Also, i highly doubt 10% increased costs are going to suddenly put me down from 80% stamina to 10% stamina in a couple of seconds.

The feeling when you know you’re dead 5 seconds before you die is the worst. I don’t even worry about it any more, but when this started many years ago I was furious that I couldn’t find the “drain all magic and stamina” spell everyone else seemed to be using. 🤣

There are 60% cost increase poisons......that's a lot. -

✭✭Cowardice poisons increase the cost of ulti by 60%. The rest are 10% or less depending on the poison.
Siphoner, in the Tower cp tree is 15% max. I tested poisons a couple of months ago just to be evil and noticed that players who fought how they'd normally fought would drain their resources pretty quick. However, they seemed to notice and try to run away. Often, they noticed in time and COULD get away.
A few days ago I slapped some points into siphoner so it was 9% hit to their Regen (Stam, mag, and health). Players got DROPPED because, even at just 9%, if they just fought how they'd normally fight, by the time they realized what was happening, IF they noticed, too much was going on.
Siphoner is only three seconds, yet is applied with EVERY light attack. I can't remember about heavies. So it's always on. 9% is enough to throw some one off. That's just considering attacking their main stat. Throw in the other two and they are toast.
Due to the high hit most classes take in regards to sustain, plus running stuff like New Moon attacking sustain can be pretty effective.
Poisons, with siphoner I haven't tested because it's all cheese. However, health Regen builds, troll tanks, the whole New Moon, Fury, Bloodspawn tank meta smacks of cheesiness. Choose your poisons lol. I choose not to run the stuff as it pretty much messes up most fights as the victim is quickly put in a bad spot if he isn't careful.
If the victim is mindful of his resources throughout a fight, gimmicks like siphoner and resource poisons just aren't effective enough. Watch your sustain and you're good.
All that being said, I've been in fights where my Magicka just DROPPED. Something similar to what the OP describes. I figured desync due to it happening in HUGE fights with a lot of people.Edited by JumpmanLane on February 22, 2020 3:58AM -
