Am I the only one that finds it painful to leave the dark brotherhood sanctuary with all the beautiful rock meshes on the Gold Coast and then travel to a base zone for a contract? The rock meshes that look like they’re made out of flat cardboard really hurt. I know a one by one redesign of the base zones will probably never happen, but a guy can dream, can’t he?
I find the original zones look more pleasing to look at than the newer zones.
I find the newer ones over detailed, to the point they feel more fake than the originals.
I know its personal taste, but the original zones feel more real to me. Like I'm in the world, not just looking into it.
It's an odd thing for me when i play. The newer zones use so much vegetation movement that I tend to watch the grass/plants instead of the overall world when i travel. That makes me focus on texture issues instead of being part of the game world.
Sometimes I'm actually grateful that my eyesight is so bad. To me, it all looks good.
Even when people put up side-by-side photos and point out what specifically they think is worse, it's hard for me to actually see the difference.
This. I went from VERY nearsighted (in my 20s) to now in my 70s very farsighted. In the long run, it's better now than it was when the opposite was the norm (for me, because everyone's experiences differ of course).
Generally, I find screenshots ineffective - as my viewer makes them pretty much all the same. Even when I see differences on my monitors (*sigh* - I have two identical 24 " Samsung monitors, but one is "sharper" than the other one), screenshots won't show much that's out of whack. Which makes me believe it's all in my own mind.
