It's Blue Protocol
Seem like Bandai Namcom learn alot from ESO
I feel happy about that. It mean Zos and ESO go to the right direction and other developer start mimic them

Did ESO introduce any original idea to the MMO genre? They mimic a lot from other games but cannot think of ZOS own idea that was never introduced in other title before

lol, had to laugh at "most anticipated game of 2020". I purchased Camelot Unchanged in 2016, and everything I read online said "Camelot Unchanged the most anticipated game of 2016. It still hasn't been released.

What makes this an ESO clone?

No weapon restriction, mega server, teleport to your party member, scale level , focus on cosmetic cashop , fully voice acting ..... bla bla

    I think its pretty familiar

Watched the video. Looks fun. I'd try it if it were released in the U.S.

That said, I'm not sure I see what they got from ESO other than that it is an mmo with crafting as a feature.

    Just my two coppers. Cheers.

ESO's combat system is pretty unique, actually. No lock on, skills tied to weapons as well as classes, guild skills, fast-firing and fast-paced combat abilities, etc. ESO is pretty unusual there, and I think in a good way.

Fast paced combat no longer exists in eso unless you consider killing unchalleging overland NPCs to be fast paced. Due to over nerfing abilities eso has become regressive not progressive. All in the name of "power fantasy"

also sounds like secret world (original not the reboot - since reboot did away with level scaling)... huh... i mean.. its not like level scaling didn't exist before ESO.. oh.. wait....

fully voiced quests were a thing in secret world AND swtor.

cosmetic cash shop focus is every ftp game EVER.

they are not copying ESO specifically, they are copying MMO trends in general that are big right now. some of those trends ESO popularized. many of them existed before ESO.

for all the people deriding the asian game for being "cartoony" and "anime" shame on you. may you be doomed to be forced to only play games which are EXACTLY like real life in every possible crappy way.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    No, its not...

The gameplay is not a carbon copy of ESO.

By the looks of it, each spell as a cool down and the battle is more to deliver SAO kinda playstyle than an actual action like it's more focused on PvE rather than PvP.

I have a feeling, it's more like FFXIV kinda playstyle but faster...

Actually, I love the FFXIV art style alot. One can call it an anime game. While blue protocol is more of a kid's anime artstyle like pokemon.

The monster you fight are not fierce looking, that's what pulls me off...

its good you think that, game communities with only more open minded people are superior ones after all.

Looks more like a gPotato game than like ESO.
That’s not an insult, I’ve played gPotato games and they’re fine, just... fine.

The reason I play eso is for the Elder Scrolls IP. Honestly I wouldn’t be anywhere near as invested if it weren’t for the world of Tamriel.

This feels like an advert for this game. It has pretty much nothing in common with ESO. I dont even consider them to be in the same genre. Anime games are in their own genre as it has its own ( cartoon fantasy) art style and its own visuals( highly over exaggerated and expressive attacks). At best its at the opposite end of the genre.

Nothing like ESO. WoW and Rift... those are like ESO. This game is like the FF franchise. It even has that magical/mechanical/steampunk blend. The dwemer are about as steampunk as ESO gets and they are AFK.
