Stalking blast bones and next patch

Blastbones:
The skeleton from this ability and its morphs will now attempt to leap from up to 28 meters after a short delay of spawning in, rather than 15 meters.
Fixed an issue where the skeleton would appear to jump backwards when leaping in close ranges. The skeleton will now also properly attempt to face its target while leaping, rather than moon-walk jumping.
Increased the speed in which the skeleton jumps.
Boneyard: Reduced the cost of this ability and its morphs to 3780, down from 4950.


So stalking bb gets 50% stronger the longer it runs, however you made it run faster and leap further which will impact the extra 50% dmg on the magicka morph nerfing that, but buffing the stam morph with a 28 metre defile high damage skill. Could you change the secondary aspect of stalking blast boness to just do 50% more damage or something else that will have more up time, as this buff to speed and jump range nerfs the damage.

From what I hear this is yet to be addressed, any word on a fix?

    The secondary effect of stalking blastbones doesn’t even work on pts. It doesn’t “chase” anymore, it immediately leaps so it never builds up the damage. There are numerous confirmations of this bug on the forums and videos on YouTube replicating it repeatedly since the first week of pts, yet it has been radio silence from ZOS for four weeks.

    This is one of those things that prove that they don't even pay attention to the pts. This is the very definition of what a pts is for.

    I am not trying to be an a$$ or anything but why is this such a hot button issue? I get it, forums breed drama, but really I don't get it. Let's get this out of the way first, I am a Magcro. When I first jumped on PTS and saw that Blastbones worked reliably and didn't just stand around lost and/or drunk I was excited. I am not wasting magicka and my ability isn't a meme. Then I immediately realized that the secondary effect wouldn't work, admittedly I got a little mad but settled down because the ability is reliable burst now.

    I am assuming that this will be addressed in a future patch, probably Greymoor, and if it's not then I'll be mad indeed but they fixed Blastbones and it didn't take them 4 years to do it. I am fairly happy about that overall. You have to see that before I was spending sometimes 3-4k magicka for it to hit once. I can accept the ability for what it is on PTS right now because I am not casting the ability two or three times for it to work once. I mean it was annoying: first cast: ability stands next to me, does nothing and dies. Second cast: delayed reaction to running and it easily stunned by player, dies. Third cast: Actually works and hits target. Now it doesn't do that, it works first time. (unless of course the player counters which is fine, at least the ability didn't counter itself)

    Like I said, if something isn't done by Greymoor then yeah... that's bad but until then I am pretty happy.

    I used to be one of the types who could say “my SBB doesn’t stand around” well now I’ve been converted, it fluffy well stands around and gives the enemy a glare before crumbling -after- I kill them.
    At one point he looked at me before dying, as if to say “look what we did together!” :smiley:
    No! You do not get to steal my glory you reanimated hamster! You did nothing!

    Now, initially reading the patch notes you posted I was happy, though it turns it into less of a raising the dead skill and more of a shooting flappy skill like Wardens have, I forgot the name.
    Clearly the 50% boost needs to be changed now because “length of time running” or whatever it is now is useless.
    Maybe it’ll become straight distance travelled as opposed to time travelled?

    As an added point, will it be able to traverse floors? I mean if it’s capable of a Picard series Daj jump, I seriously doubt stairs need to be used.

    I often see blastbones on my death recap, but I've never even seen a skeleton running around. I only recently found out that's what it does, I thought it was just a ranged attack.

    I am happy that it finally works as intended but that doesn’t given them a free pass to ignore feedback brought up on the first week of PTS. It is not hard to change the values from distance chases to distance jumped and provide the same bonus. Or apply another secondary effect.
