We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European console megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Having to be locked on another alliance while the main campaign has all the fights and all the other campaigns are completely dried out and dead on PS4 NA. It makes playing this game super unenjoyable not to mention being locked from playing my other toons as well due to the fact I can't play with them because of locked campaign and once again the other campaigns are just dead.

Nobody likes to lose. Should we allow everyone win? Like, let's create a new campaign where there's only one alliance for everyone?
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

Or allow so we can actually enjoy playing the game instead of forcing us into empty campaigns with no means of pvping and when you do find a fight you run into a zerg to only be mangled.

That the alliance locked campaign is the full one should tell you what you need to know on this issue. Seems the majority of players want the alliances locked or they would have moved to another campaign. I've seen a few people say they want all campaigns unlocked but I can't help but feel the unlocked campaign would have a bigger population if many players actually wanted this.

I like that we are given a choice.

So you come on my post saying this when it has nothing to do with what I am talking about. I am saying I would LIKE TO! Play the game on the main campaign where the fights are at, and not have to wait in almost a hour que just to get in!. Just because anyone says " well hey there are other campaigns" doesn't fix the issue that those other campaigns are completely dead! Shor was the last and final campaign we had that you were guaranteed to have fights other than the 30 day campaign.

We’ve been through this before, @regime211.

We’ve explained the multiple reasons why faction lock is in place.

We’ve explained that you not choosing to play in the non-faction lock campaign isn’t anyone else’s problem ... especially not ZOS’s

In my experience the people who like faction lock are the few left who still fight for campaign score. They also happen to be the ones who get 1vxd and wiped by small scalers. The small scalers have to follow the zergs or they run out of fights pretty fast.

The pvp population on console is too small after all the chasing people away zos did. Non faction lock is dead, you're pretty much forced into faction lock.

In this thread we have seen complaints that some campaigns are dead and a complaint about queue time in the faction locked campaign. This leads me to believe the players that want faction lock outnumber those that do not.

The observation you make (I'm not agreeing nor disagreeing with it) about small scale players should be a problem players can solve. Will take a bit of doing but I think it could be done. Use the guild finder to see what guilds recruit for small scale PvP. Contact those guilds and try to organize small scale play in one of the other campaigns. Like anything it will start slow but if the population that would enjoy this really exists a few motivated players can make it happen. For a while I was in a PvP guild that worked with other guilds to do 12v12 fights. Was a blast and we did it a couple of nights a week. I see no reason why something similar couldn't be done with small scale play.

    Nah.

One of my biggest peeves in Cyrodiil (other than the l.........aaaaaa.......g- - - - - - - - -crap. just got dashboarded.) are flip-floppers.

You'll be in a fight with a guy at your side, as part of your Alliance at one keep...then you're fighting that same dude, now on a toon in a different Alliance, at the very next keep. Usually the Dude In Question flip-flopped to help boost a buddy or because Alliance "A" is losing at that moment and Alliance "B" is winning.

Alliance-locked campaigns make flip-flopping practically impossible.

The fact that the Alliance-locked campaigns are usually bursting at the seams while the flip-flop-friendly campaigns are usually ghost towns tells you everything you need to know about the community's preference here.

    YMMV.

This issue was solved. For a long time there was no campaign that had faction lock and many players requested such a campaign. ZoS listened and created a faction locked campaign and there was much rejoicing. Players who do not want to play in a faction locked campaign have that option. The choices are there for everyone. One just happens to be more popular than the other.

That is not the solution to create other campaigns which have little to no people playing in it at times. And to lock everyone into one campaign due to that. The only reason why people are even playing in the non- locked is because as of now on PS4 NA the performance is so bad on locked that your abilities can't even cast on time if at all!

It is a solution whether you like the solution or not. The only fix it seems you would be happy with is if they scrapped the locked faction. The locked faction is full because it is popular. It would be foolish for ZoS to scrap it in favor of a less popular instance.

People/Groups Alliance hopping and turning the whole map one colour, then swapping and doing it again caused them to lock campaigns. ZoS are not doing it for the jollies as it was turning people away from PvPing (yes alliance locking does the same someone is going to say and yes correct, but its the less toxic option in my opinon)

Case of a group of people ruining it for the many...,But hey its not that much of a big deal, fight for your faction gods dam it!! hehe

Turning people away? Lmfao no it wasn't people still were pvping. And what's the difference now? I still see the same maps being flipped one sided. Maybe if people learned to get good and not complain about maps being flipped one sided then it wouldn't be an issue. I see the same guilds on diffrent factions still taking a L even in the locked campaign and they still play.

    Pro Tip:

Organized PvP guilds like to play on the losing side because the fights are better and more frequent.
