Dragonguard Elite

Would Dragonguard Elite paired with Deadly Strike and Grundwulf be an ok setup to run in Cyrodiil for an Imperial StamPlar? I play Cyrodiil solo and mainly farm resources until I reach Tier one. Does Dragonguard Elite have a place in this game or is it just a useless set?

I dont think Dragonguard Elite is useful for anything. It could have potential but as it is now, its not working. There are way better sets for StamPlar in PVP like Fury or Seventh legion. You can activate Seventh Legion by spamming Restoring Focus.

But you can reach Tier 1 wearing simply anything. Just join a group and leech AP till you get Tier 1.

MagDK? Doesn't this set boost weapon critical? How does this help out a magicka player? Thanks.

It boosts both. It's pretty much a hybrid set

How does it boost Spell Critical?

(2 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(3 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(4 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
(5 items) You gain a stack of Dragonguard Tactics for 5 seconds when you deal direct damage to an enemy from the front or their sides, up to 5 stacks. Each stack of Dragonguard Tactics increases your Weapon Critical by 476. You can only gain one stack every 1 second.

EDIT Just saw you were referring to Ancient Dragonguard. Forget this comment. xD

I think it would be really hard to keep the stacks up. It parses quite well on a PvE setup in front of a target dummy, but I think it's very situational- it'd be good for solo play where an enemy isn't being turned away from you, but that's about it.

People have been trying to find a purpose for Dragonguard Elite since it came out. Best I have seen is a placeholder set for PVE stam DPS until they can get something better or for players who cannot effectively use sets like AY or Lokkes. But have yet to see it run in PVP. Its a crit set that takes 5 seconds to stack crit bonuses. Agree with @SidraWillowsky. Tough to keep those stacks up in Cyrodiil, and also to what effectiveness

Dragonguard Elite is an excellent set.

Not sure it would work very well in Cyro though.

Sorry for the Thread Necro, but I'm trying to collect this set. I have every piece of armor except the shoulders and hands-- since those are normally found in Pub Dungeons-- and there aren't any of those in Pelletine-- how do you get those last two pieces?

I got the breast piece from the main story line (helm too?), the boots & belt from the delves, the legs from one of the WB's, and the jewelry from dragon hunts-- but still can't figure out how to get the shoulders and hands. Anybody have any ideas?

Guild traders would be your best bet, if your on PC try browsing the TTC website.
