Basically, I am having both of these issues. For some reason, my client can't update itself and I am also unable to access the ESO main site. I am having some trouble getting my game started. Also, I am unable to access the ESO main website. Has anyone ever had this error? I would appreciate it if someone could let me know what to do with this error.

I was simply playing the game, and then my game crashed. I couldn't log back into the game, so I decided to restart my client. However, I got this error 210 (which I have included a picture of) when I tried to restart my client. From there, I tried going to the ESO main site and for some reason I could not access the site.

I am basically going to include a lot of the same information as this reddit post from earlier today: https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/f0hzgo/technical_error_support_post_error_210/

Please, if someone from ZoS could reach out to me, I would appreciate it!

So far, I have reset my computer.

I have tried running as an administrator multiple times.

I have made copies of the Platform.xml file and all of the host.developer files in a folder on my desktop.

I have tried Repairing the game multiple times through the launcher and each time, I simply get another Error 210 notification. It seems the launcher and ESO's main site are not communicating and I suspect this has something to do with why I also cannot navigate to the site on my browser.

I have also checked my Firewall settings and I don't see an option related to 'Elder Scrolls Online' or 'Zenimax Online Studios,' so I am assuming that it isn't that.

At this point, I am following a guide to delete the program data.

    I have closed the launcher.

I navigated to the patch installation folder at its default location.

I have deleted the ProgramData folder.

Now, that I have restarted the launcher, it is not going past the loading screen. I have included an image of what I am seeing:

@ZOS_BillE I have been unable to access elderscrollsonline.com, so I can't make a ticket to try to resolve any of this. I am just addressing you since you seem to be the most active admin. Thank you in advance for helping out!

I am also trying to figure out why I can't connect to ESO's main website. So far, running diagnostics has been really unsuccessful, but it is clear that I am unable to access the main site for some reason. When I ran diagnostics on elderscrollsonline.com specifically, this is what I saw:

Update: I have a VPN installed on my PC for access to my university's library system. For some reason, when I connect to my library's VPN, the issue is completely solved and I can navigate to the elder scrolls main site. I really don't understand what is going on. Have I been IP-banned or something without knowing? However, as soon as I disconnect from the VPN, the error come back and I am unable to load the ESO main website.

Update 2: So, it doesn't actually solve everything. It only lets me launch the game, but I still can't access my account for some reason. It says unable to log in. Also, logging into my account on the main site seems to be impacted as well.

I also ran Game Consultant. I will try to include that somewhere here.

Unable to include it because it is way too long, but I do have it in case it would help in figuring out what is going on with my PC.

Using the VPN, I was able to at least navigate to the ESO help center and submit a ticket about this issue (which I couldn't before because, like I said, I couldn't even access the site. The ticket has been submitted. I really hope they get back to me in a timely manner. This has been super annoying and stressful and has taken up hours of my day.

After a lot of researching and troubleshooting, I am happy to share that I was finally able to solve the issue and log back into the game. If you're having this issue, please refer to this support page.

Specifically, I would recommend trying the portion shown in the picture below. Skip all of the other stuff until you have tried doing this first!

This was corroborated by a related post where a user suggested that the solution might be to click on the link to http://launcher.bethesda.net. When I did that, it downloaded a file to my computer. Here is their very astute comment:

I think this is causing it, then launcher state changes from active 1 to 0 which i suppose is inactive :(
Try repairing/reinstaling the game (just run the game installer again and install the game in same dir)

ps: try clicking the http links to launcher.bethesda.net - it your browser dont ask you to download patch.manifest then that is , this site is blocked for you for some reason and that is causing the problem at least i think that

So, I did precisely that. I googled launcher.bethesda.net or something along those lines, clicked the link, and it downloaded the patch.manifest file directly to my PC. I then took that patch.manifest file and copied it to my ProgramData folder (if you have been dealing with this, you probably know exactly where that is). Here is a picture of that:

Once I did that, it restored everything. I could once again access ESO's website as well as launch, log in to and play the game. And, as a bonus, I had just got into contact with ZoS support services via text when I figured out how to solve it. Recognizing what a massive pain in the ass this has been, they sent me a Gold Coast Experience Scroll in-game! Thanks ZoS!
