Imperial as Stam DPS

I picked up again on my PC account and had three classes set has Imperial. DK, Templar and Necro.
I have seen mixed things about this race. Some say no to dps, but other says it works well because of the health bonus you can use the Lava Stomp (or whatever its called) and get alot of stamina and regen allowing you still run all weapon enchants on jewelry.

Redguard has 950 stamina back every 5 seconds on direct damage attacks, Imperial 333 to everything
Redguard is 7%? reduction on all weapon abilities where Imperial is 3% on all.

Considering for Templar and Necro, even DK i am running very few weapon abilities. 3 on dk, I think only two on the others. Would imperial actually be on par with damage and sustain ?

I still have 3 race changes. All my other classes I think are comfortable with the races.

High elf - sorc
Dumner - Magcro
Bosmer - warden and nightblade (i like bosmer)
Breton - madgen

If you were to change any of the races, what would you think would be the best to change. stamplar-stamcro-DK (dk thinking of being WW just for fun so I think imperial works the best)

Normally i wouldnt ask but not much info when it comes to running imperial and not getting much from guilds

thanks.

I'd keep the stamplar as an imperial or race-change to Orc. I have an imperial stamplar, and I don't want to change her because 1) she's super pretty and 2) the stam regen is so nice; I run dubious thrones in vMA and have a nice chunk of health.

DK - I'd go redguard. The sustain with using weapon abilities is pretty nice.

Necromancer - I'd definitely say go for orc or stick with imperial.

In the end, it's all min-maxxing, so stick with what you enjoy!

I consider Imperials better suited to tanking specifically because of the tri-stat regen'.

This is very useful on a tank as you are using all resources all the time.

The same logic applies to the universal ability reduction.

I’d second the stamplar advice here. I’ve been maining an imperial stamplar since my first day in game (3 years in April), and while I’ve managed to do quite a lot with her (hitting 50k single target in a 4-man pug, for example), I know she’s got even more potential if I practiced a rotation and learned how to use a keyboard and mouse. The statistically best race would be orc, as far as I understand it, but the difference is a couple thousand at top tier dps numbers. (The difference is smaller the lower your overall dps.) So for me the difference is within the margin of human error. YMMV.

Also seconding the advice on do whichever makes it more fun for you.

If you want stam sustain, go bosmer. Yes bosmer. The 258 regen is much better than redguard's 2 combined passives even when using weapon abilites unless you love taping down your rmb, in which case nord or imperial would be better anyway. If you want tri stat sustain and tankiness go imperial.

If you are going for Top Tier End Game leaderboards then you may want to change but all my stam are Imperial and they are very versatile going between pve and pvp.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I dont worry too much about min/max, too much stress. I worry about having sustain becaues the game is just not fun when you dont have resources and you dont hear much about imperial and sustain, its always redguard and bosmer.

and as stated you lose a big chunk of what makes a redguard good if you dont run much weapon skills.

Orc is just too ugly for me.... sorry all those orc lovers.
