Is there a way to random queue for only base dungeons with ESO+?

I want to resub to ESO+ for the craft bag and bank space, but I don't want the DLC dungeons for the random daily - just the base game vet dungeons. Is this possible with ESO+?

    No.
Daily random rewards are awarded only for running a random dungeon. You will have to choose between running a random dungeon for bonus EXP, and running from your choice of dungeons for only the standard dungeon rewards.

Queue together with someone who doesn't have eso+.

    Or no.

Or L2P to the point where you can carry anyone through anything as tank and quit your job so you have the time for it.

As far as I know the only way is to party with someone who doesn't have access to them, and then queue, there's no way to exclude them if you have them unlocked.

Also don't forget players without ESO+ can have access to DLC dungeons if they've bought the DLC or gotten it another way. For example everyone who got Imperial City free will have access to White Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison so those dungeons could come up in random for them and anyone who bought Wrathstone or Scalebreaker to be able to play the entire Year of the Dragon story could get those.

If they don't have ESO+ and don't have all the dungeon DLC unlocked you'll get less chance of a DLC dungeon, but to make absolutely sure you'll have to find someone who doesn't have any of the relevant DLCs.

The only way to have ESO+ and not have DLC dungeons in your random queue is to be in the Veteran queue and have less than 300 CP. Or have a friend with low cp or without ESO+ queue with you. They can drop group after you get placed in the instance if there’s want, you’ll still get full credit for the random when you finish.

    Nope by default.
You can send your wishes to lord of Queue by clicking what you would like to play as multiple selection is possible.

If you run sub 50 Alts, your chances of getting a DLC plummets

Actually, the moment I queue for random after hitting level 45, I immediately get only DLCs. :D Always hits me off guard cause I forget how soon they unlock.

anyone noticed that you get dlc dungeons at least 80 plus percent of the time. I get a non dlc dungeon about 1 in every 10.

Best way to do that is yell in zone chat for someone level 40 and under to join your team.

Thanks, I didn't know the vet DLCs were locked to anyone under CP 300.

Yah, under cp300 is the best time to queue for vet dungeons because you’ll only get the easier ones. Specifically between cp160 and cp299 is the best time for randoms to grind cp. you’ll get monster helms and lots of purple drops.

    Not really.

It’s a rubbish situation which benefits very few and annoys and harms a significant part of the playerbase.

Forcing players into content they don’t want to do is never good game design.

It’s amazing that the only way to guarantee you don’t get DLC dungeons in your random dailies is to cancel your subscription to ESO.. The only existing situation where ZOS will do what you want by not taking the money.

That's because the random queue is there to backfill an incomplete group that queued for a specific dungeon.

I would assume far more people queue for DLC dungeons, because they have desirable gear and everyone already has gear from the base dungeons coming out their ears.

They are not forcing you. There is an option to queue for specific dungeons. The completely random queue is actually good for the game because it gives players wanting to do a specific DLC dungeon a chance to fill a group.

I would like to see this option as well. Most times I get a DLC dungeon for random dungeon, people leave the group, making it unable to re-queue for 15mins cause of the wait time. Or atleast remove the wait times for people who don't leave the group.

No. Random includes all the dungeons released so far.
If you don't want to run DLC dungeons while using the group finder tool you need to specify which dungeons you are queuing to.

But it’s a rubbish idea to fill your chosen DLC with a player who isn’t ready for it, doesn’t want to do it and won’t be much help for you simply because they happen to have an ESO subscription. They are unlikely to enjoy/endure it and you will just be frustrated.

Much better to allow players themselves to opt in to having a DLC as part of their random dungeon. That way any player you get to fill spaces will be ready for it.

ESO+ subscribers are being ‘punished’ for subscribing by having a significant chance of being put into a DLC dungeon in every random dungeon run and being used as cannon fodder by ZOS. And that doesn’t benefit anyone.

Well then I guess we should lock players without a certain amount of Dungeon Achievement Points from queueing for a random dungeon, since I guess we cannot trust them to cast their own judgement of whether it's a good idea or not, and we don't want them ruining things for the rest of the group!
Maybe add a big red disclaimer above the random queue that reads "Warning: You may be placed into a dungeon you don't like, have never been in before, or won't be good at. If you are not ready to face the risk of the unknown, use the 'Specific Dungeon' feature to choose something in your comfort zone." ?
People have the option not to gamble. They just choose to do it anyway, because they want the reward for taking the risk. Either we have the game assess whether a player is ready or not (which the game does a terrible job at), or we leave the players to do it. But the latter really requires players to understand that they don't need to, and shouldn't, throw themselves into a random pool if they're not ready to face the potential hardships that comes with it. In my opinion the pressure that comes with this idea we as a community perpetuated that you just 'have' to get that daily random reward is what has caused people a lot of grief. If you don't enjoy a random dungeon, go spend your time gaining EXP in a way you enjoy! If you don't enjoy the potential struggle, you don't actually enjoy running random dungeon, and you shouldn't be forcing yourself to do it. The same way that a lot of PVEers don't ever touch the random BG, despite the EXP bonus there.

Players have another option as well - get into the DLC dungeon and immediately drop group.

My sympathy for the incomplete groups, after reading many of the replies here, is very close to zero.

Get a friend that doesn't have eso+ and queue with them.

It's so stupid how you can lump in fungal grotto with the hardest dungeons in the game.

When you're looking for a challenge, queue for a random vet and get Fungal Grotto 1

When you're looking for a quick xp boost and queue for a random normal and get Moonhunter keep with a bunch of new players that have not encountered mechanics before

    Seriously ZOS, just change it.
