Necro has far too many sources of % mitigation

Deaden pain offers 3% for slotting + Major protection with realistically at least a 30%+ up time if not upwards of 50% when zerg surfing , spirit mender offers a flat 10% and the CC or ransack offers minor protection. Couple this with sets like swift or potentates and you can easily run around with 2 damage sets and a sword and board and easily be tankier than one person has the damage to burst or DOT down. Spirit mender should be changed to minor protection in order to not have this random non minor/major buff from stacking and deaden pain should just a better heal and no major protection. One of the biggest complaints is about how in the pillow fight tank metas no one dies, well the worst is yet to come once blastbones is fixed with this % mitigation stacking meta about to roll in and make pirate skelly meta magblades seem tame. Inb4 the army of harmony bombers and onslaught dumpers complain.

    The problem is not the classes.

    It is the overloaded algorithms and lack of Tertiary stats.

    Sorry Ill change the title to remove defile and increase the proc rate and length of pirate skelly so everyone has a non ulti source of major protection

    So, they need those sources of mitigation to make up for not having damage shields in PVE especially when someone is playing a Necro tank.

    You can't expect to be able to kill everyone in a one on one fight.

    I thought Pirate Skeletons made everything better. Probably why I am not a dev...game would be some kind of Black Sails mixed with Alice in Wonderland by way of Labyrinth acid trip...

    Agreed. Atm the tank classes are flourishing, it's insanr,, templars and wardens are the worst offenders

    Its not damage mitigation that is the problem it is healing and lack if "defile/disease".

    Also OP died in Pvp ..wouldnt be here whinging about a "necro tank, that couldnt kill kim either"

    Im playing a stamcro atm, its almost unkillable 1v1 with vigor on the sword and board bar, Im not looking forward to getting zerged down by them and having 100% uptime on major defile next update though

    Necro also has no shields in their kit, which makes damage mitigation necessary. Also i love how this is an issue because a whiny PvPer can't beat it by himself.

    If someone can get 50% uptime on deaden pain then they are giving up 1 ultimate per second I believe by not running potency. They also can't recharge ultimate nearly as fast in between skirmishes without potency. Ball group necro's running potency could be more dangerous...

    Spirit Guardian and Harvert (either morph) are pretty much PvE tank's defense package. Somewhat similar to NBs, Necros have higher mitigation and more low/slow healing than other classes in exchange for a lower sustain and a partly conditional semi burst heal. Warden/DK are more bursty defensively with big burst heals combined with major mending...different but also hard to kill/die.
