Fun Melee DPS Build?

What's a fun class to melee-DPS as?
2-handed preferred, since I love greatswords and battle-axes, but dual-wield accepted.

I already have a Bow Warden, so probably not a Warden.

I've got 2 handers in NB, DK, Templar - hmm. Well, actually, I have them in all classes except necro (I don't ever play necros in any game).

Even the ones that probably make no sense are hell on wheels. I think I probably prefer Templar of them all, but they're all pretty fun.

Actually, I prefer 2 hand to DW....

stam necro seems to be high on the list for damage, and i find it fun to play, and stam templars are also a lot of fun and really easy to sustain if you corpses around you. Besides, stamina templar 2H has that proper templar feeling to it too.

I have been running with a sword/shield and Destructo Staff Warden build which has been alot of fun making heavy use of AOE

The main problem is the need for ranged and AOE. Once you figure that out you can have fun being 2h on one bar and dual wield on the other. The reason why every stamina character uses a bow is because of the utility it provides versus multiple enemies.
I have a stam necro I use 2h & dw. He has his skeletal archer pet and does other things to compensate for not using a bow but I’d never bring him into content where people are counting on me to perform well.

Master's Greatsword is amazing for AOE. Adds 1500 damage to Cleave's direct damage AOE swing for each enemy it hits, up to an extra 9k damage. And Reverse Slice has always been a solid AOE during execute phases. Combine with Caltrops or some Class AOE and I think 2h is fine for multiple enemies

If you want a fun PVP build,you can go with DK's usual lineup of Bloodspawn, Fury and Clever Alchemist.

Those are the sets I use, but I use Maelstrom Battleaxe on the front bar. Everything is in impenetrable on body, robust on rings and sharpened on the front bar, backbar is SnB Clever Alchemist, Shield in Infused with Hakeijo glyph.

Imho, StamDKs are most fun to play.

I love playing DKs and Templars. Super fun and easy, but can be very versatile..

Sorcs, NB and Necros are more of a challenge for melee for me.
