Does Elsweyr have a free house? If so how?

I've read in various places that Elsweyr is supposed to come with a free house. If it is I cannot find it.
Are people trolling or is this a legit thing. if it's legit why don't I have it? Every house I look at, either costs gold or crowns. So I'd really like to know how to obtain this so called free house if it's legit.

Do the main quest line starting in Norther Elsewyr and you get one, plus there is an inn room.

Yep, the Sugar bowl, err suite? ...In Rimmen, lady stands outside with a quest for you to get the room for free, nifty for ports too.
    Edit = Typos ... as usual. <;D

It is free, as a quest reward for the main story.

Yep, one of the best for convenience.

And then there's of course, Hall of the Lunar Champion, tied to the questline, and also free.

Except that nowhere does it mention a quest is involved. If they are going to offer houses, not only should it be listed in the description of the product, it should also explain in full detail how to get it. Saying it's the main story, main story of what..As Far as I know the only main story in this entire game is your personal character quest.

Well I have my answer now so thanks.

Every new DLC or Chapter zone has a "main story" series of quests for that zone. These quests generally reward some skill points along with the most 'special' quest rewards (like skins, collectable house furniture, etc).
As opposed to the random stand-alone sidequests, dailies, etc.

"How do I get X from the latest DLC?" "Do the main story"
"What's the main story for <zone>?" "Cultists trying to summon a Daedric god." "Again?!?!"

However, you seem to be quite frustrated at your inability to come to a satisfactory understanding of how to proceed to reach your desired goal. I took the liberty, if you dont mind, to provide you with the solution to your problem. I used this handy tool so i could efficiently and quickly help you.

    1) Their are several apartments that are free in this game. One of them , Sugar Bowl Suite, is near the wayshrine in Rimmen in Northern Elsweyr.
    2) The Main quest is the zone's main quest. All zones have one. This one starts with Abnur Tharn in Riverhold, i believe. The house is the Hall of Lunar Champions by the Palace in Rimmen. YOu can find more information on it and how to unlock the various sections of it here.

I hope this solves your issues, but if it doesnt feel free to just type in the problem you are having in the comment box here and press enter! If you would like to discuss or share your experience with other forum goers feel free to reply in this thread! We would LOVE to hear from a cheery person such as yourself! The Hall of the Lunar Champion is and isn't free.

    The house has 4 sections.

One is unlocked through the Northern Elsweyr main quest. You get access to that zone with the Elsweyr DLC.

Two are unlocked by completing dungeon DLC achievements. Each requires owning a different dungeon DLC or being subscribed

One is unlocked the Southern Elsweyr quest. This requires owning yet another DLC or being subscribed.

ESO does run semi regular ESO Plus free trials, during which you could complete those other DLC achievements to fully unlock the house, but unfortunately for you they had just one recently so the next probably won't be for a while.

This, main quests also has an the quest marker filled out, side quests have only the V.

The old zones also has an zone quest for the faction, sometimes linked together.
Like the veiled heritance is the enemy in the first 3 AD zones.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

How far through the main questline do you have to go before you get the free room? I have the expac, but I've been saving it until I'd finished some of the other DLC zones.

you can find that info here https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/46698/~/how-do-i-get-the-free-hall-of-the-lunar-champion-home? so its like the 4th or 5th main story quest for the zone you will notice that the main story quests have a different icon over the npc's
    head
now the op will say something along the lines of because zenimax didn't tell them this they don't want to listen but you buddy this will help you because i am answering you and not them

But they were not official answers! Just player answers. Are you sure you will accept that? *wink*

    Hello all,

Because the question initially posed has been answered and much of this discussion has derailed with bashing commentary, we have decided to close this thread down.
