Improve Class Description

I think the way the classes are defined are very narrow and misleading. Especially the Templars and Nightblades. They should make the class description more fitting. Yeah, you could make Palidiun with a Templar, but you also could make a Cleric. And with a Nightblade, I dont see much luck being used, but that Nightblade in the third or fourth trailer breaking the wall, siphoning the Sorcerer Elf power is not even mention in the class page as much as stealth is. Thoughts?

You're right. I noticed this myself recently.

Since launch, some classes have changed dramatically and their original descriptions haven't.

Most classes now are closer to parity in terms of their ability to function in different roles.

Nightblade stealth and their stealth speed bonus might be the only exception. That gives them a serious edge for stealing / assassination play.

I always just ignored it. I mean, my first character was a sort-of-evil templar (corrupted by lost love) so class descriptions just went straight out the window for me.

But then my favourite class in TES was always 'custom'.

You wouldn't find many people who regard TES "classes" as classes.

In Morrowind they just slightly changed your starting skill values but every character could learn and max every skill and spell.

ESO has proper classes. Much to my and many TES fans' chagrin.

Yeah, but then you can still ignore them to *some* degree. At least compared to other games´ classes you are not tied to a specific skillset, since you have FG / MG / Psijic / Undaunted + weapon skills etc. It irks me that the game kind of implies all templars are good and all wardens love nature (I´m killing dino-birds by flinging them at stuff, that should at least be 'controversial' when it comes to green party logic ;) ). But then your character is obsequious (google it) when dealing with the DC king (which my character would never be) etc, so in the end I just imagine my character the way she is, and what it says on the screen I´ve learned to ignore.

Reminds me of D&D rp alignment... (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alignment_(role-playing_games))

The in-game description assumes Templar are on "lawful" and Nightblades on "chaotic".
There is no real statement about "good" or "evil" (nothing stops your from fighting evil while being evil).

The power fantasy of Templar being "sacred", I guess it makes sense... even if there is no "sacred" type of damage in-game.

The reference to "luck" in Nightblades description might relate to game mechanics... While the Templar preys the sacred, the NB preys the RNG gods that there will be no lag or bug when using shadow teleport or cloak.

The biggest flaw of such description being there is absolutely no consequence beside fee to your criminal acts.
I miss the Morrowind version of Reputation (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Reputation).

    I mean...
    - Enroll in Dark brotherhood, stab 12 583 NPCs to death
    - Enroll in Thieves guild, and grab rare relics in all Tamriel without asking permission
    - Steal in the pockets of 9 872 NPCs to get Morrowinds motiff pages
    - Get caught by guards repeatedly, refuse to pay fee, run around town like a mad chicken to escape guards
    Then...
    - Get in town and hear (surviving) NPCs tell you ""You walked into the Crypt of Hearts... and survived? I don't believe it!""
"Yeah, glad you remember only that  "
