You are not going to be able to stop it all, but taking these simple steps will reduce the amount of chatter you see online regarding ESO and targeting advertising in general.

if ads are shown anyway, what does it matter if it's shampoo or a car since nobody cares about ads? if ads don't popup and don't bother whatever activity i am doing, then i don't bother them either.
I generally prefer not giving out my info at all and blocking the random junk instead of trying to "opt out" of it. Also uBlock Origin and NoScript.
(Many years ago when data protection become a thing, I made a project to wipe myself from any marketing lists. It worked. I almost never get marketing calls - I think I did not get any on 2019 - and even my email spam folder is rather slow.)
