Is it worth buying the portable Banker and Vendor?

Do they have a cooldown.
And can my party members use them?

No cooldown, party members can use them, and if they're parked in a house, all visitors can use them. They can be used everywhere at any time except Cyrodiil. :)

No cooldown, party can use them. The banker has no acesss to guildstores. The merachant will not repair the gear and sell repair crates, and like items. Can be placed at home.

For me it was worth it, more the vendor than the bankier.
    No cooldown.
Yes, the vendor can be used in a party.
I never tried that with the banker.

The Crown Store Banker and Merchant will not have all the functions of the regular NPCs. Your banker can only access your bank, not a guild bank nor the guild stores. The merchant cannot repair armor. Neither can be used in PVP zones.

That being said, you may find the convenience of banking and selling for you and anyone grouped with you to be worth the limited functionality.

no cooldown and yeah your group can use them.. They cannot be use in the pvp zones.

I think they are really nice to have. I do wish that the merchant had an repair option.

They do not have a cooldown and yes, party-mates can use them. I definitely suggest the banker is worth it. Get it first and see how often it becomes your new best friend then decide if the merchant would be as helpful in your use case (merchants are far easier to find overland than bankers are and you can stuff sellables into the bank until you find one).

The vendor is very nice for selling junk so I say she is more useful than the banker as you get more loot you want to sell than to bank.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Never ever have I once regretted buying the vendor.

I have a bit of an inventory management problem & so she is a godsend to get rid of all the rubbish I have accumulated.

In fact, my merchant is known as my ‘combat merchant’ as she frequently joins us on dungeon runs 😬.

I find both useful but if I had to choose only one, I would keep the banker. With a vendor, I can reduce some of the items in my inventory while out in the field by selling them. With only a banker, I can dump those same items in my bank to sell later as well as all items that I want to grind up later. Assuming you have room in your bank a banker can bring your inventory as low as you like while out in the field.

Placing in the house in no way impedes their use out and about. They are an interactable furnishing in the house and still available for summons in most areas of the game (not in other player's houses, not in Cyrodiil).

Most useful crown store items, if you've got the crowns buy them!

You can't summon them in the house, but you can place them in your house.

You can summon them in open world and dungeons even if they are placed in your house.

You can't use them in Cyrodiil.

It is definitely worth it if you play ESO a lot. Not too often do they go on sale but every once in a while.

I know 5K Crowns is steep but if you are ESO Plus just save till you have enough.

Game changer. Definitely worth it. The banker makes it much easier to share equipment among your characters, or to use consumables such as food that you forgot to take out of the bank before leaving town and adventuring.

I see the Banker is the most recommended. Cause i do agree vendors are spread everywhere on the maps.
Guess il get that banker when the servers come back on.

When I first started I thought "why would I waste crowns on buying a portable vendor and banker?" I thought the crowns I bought would be of better spent in other ways.

I ended up wasting those crowns on crates.

I wish I would have bought the vendor and the banker both, if for no other reason than to have them in a house. What bothers me about the banker, is that you cannot put things up for sale in your guild store, that seems like a serious limitation to me. In regards to the vendor, it doesn't fix your gear which also seems like a serious limitation to me.

However, it is a benefit to have them rather than not. As far as things being useful, they are probably the most useful things in the crown store, and the most useful things you can buy other than a subscription.

They both have some function missing that npcs in the game do have.

The merchant: can not repair armor.
The Bank: does not allow access to guild bank or guild merchant.

So for those things you still need in game npc's. but for most other things. very useful.
Imagine, you're looting a chest/body only it says "inventory full", just summon your merchant and sell some of your junk and grab the rest of your loot.
Or you looted some rare shiny, summon your banker and deposit it so you don't accidentally sell it in a inventory cleaning frenzy.

And there is no functionality diff between the Khajiit banker/merchant and the other set. so you can pick which you like better.

They are a bit expensive yes, but if you have a lot of toons, very much worth the time save.
What are Natch Potes? Can you eat those?
    I believe in Genie-Gina.

    Vendor is definitely worth it.

She is SO GOOD to have when you are in the middle of a 4 men or a trial and your inventory gets full.

The banker is underpowered, I wish it had the guild trader access like regular bankers have.

I have the Merchant, and am considering the Banker. I agree with all the positive things others have stated. Though there are negatives too. Not being able to repair, or access a Guild Store (and Guild Bank, I assume) really detracts from these expensive purchases, IMO.

When I first bought the Merchant I was unaware it could not repair, and ZoS’s description on the Crown Store seems deceptively thin. I do use it for selling junk, and to help out others in a group when asked, but the cost is the biggest negative for me.

Another negative for me comes from others leaving their Assistants active while PUGging. You are constantly accidentally accessing an Assistant instead of looting while on the run to the next Boss, especially if you have a Leeerrroooyyy in the group. If you decide to buy, please be considerate and de-activate when not in use.
