Need an opinion

I have had my eyes on the gold curse eater jewlery on sale.

I am a magsorc and think it would be an interesting option to swap out lich with.

I have had my full purple set of it ( curse eater) but there is an issue: it does not function as it should most of the time. On ps4 at least: the set is bugged. After much testing with guildmates. We have found that the set has a cooldown timer that can get bugged unless the user loads in from somewhere or it just decides to work. While it works, it is awesome. But far too often, after one or two "purges" it stops working. The cooldown timer is bugged for sure. (Apparently this has been an issue for a while).

So, will this set get a fix or will it remain bugged on ps4?

Is this even worth my AP to get? Or maybe I should wait until this gets fixed someday? Cause I feel if I were to get it, I would be clinging to hope rather than looking a current build.

Hope to hear your opinion, thoughts on this.

(Edited for clarity: lich works fine, it is curse eater that does not work)

since you asked for my opinion

please note that my opinion should not be considered expert in any way

if you're unhappy with the reliability of the lich set - then yes, you should switch. lich might get a fix - but I wouldn't hinge your happiness on that possibility. If reliability of proc/effect is more important that the overall effect of the proc, then switch to the more reliable one. If the effect is more important to you, stick with lich.

Don't hinge your continued happiness on a fix. It's possible that lich works the way it should and it's some combination of your ps4/connection that causes it to appear non-functional - or that causes it to be non-functional. Even if it is ACTUALLY a bug with lich set, IF it gets fixed, it may not get fixed quickly

if you have the necessary storage space, you can still hold on to the lich set, hoping that it'll get fixed, and use curse eater in the meantime. If it has to be an either/or situation, then...it's really up to you. Which is your highest priority for contentment in your future ESO gameplay?

your third option, and it's possibly happening right now even as I type this - is someone may suggest a set that is more reliable than lich AND has a better effect than lich or curse eater - if they are/do, I suggest you take that one instead :)

    Hope that helps

I am sorry i meant: it was curse eater that does not work. Lich works great and is realible.

gotcha - then, reverse lich and curse eater in my above post, and I'll stand by it

    Dont expect them fixing stuff.
look at ebon armory, fix took more than 3y.

Therefore..... Nerf nb, delete sorc, because no ETA ~stay tuned.
or to put it into simple words. No, not worth it. Both sets. Only if you are swimming in ap and want to be some set collector. They should sell pretty bad, no reason to waste ap.

    Thank you for that insight.

Maybe the issue you've been expeirencing is fixed on the PTS. The cooldown behaves differently now. Sounds like you weren't aware it's getting even better.
    • Curse Eater:
      • Fixed an issue where this set would fail to proc off Ultimates or Mend Wounds.
      • This set now has an 8 second cooldown per target, rather than overall.
      • Increased the Magicka Restore to 678, up from 600.
      • Fixed an issue where this set shared a cooldown with Stendarr’s Embrace.

Even so, will it get fixed. I sent them a ticket before and heard nothing back
