Do you only get the skill point for going through the tutorial? Why if so? Shouldn't you get it if you skip that part, especially if you have done it many times (on other characters) already?

✭✭✭✭✭You get skill points for leveling up your alliance rank, the tutorial give enough AP to level you up the first time.
Think you get almost the same Ap for not taking it, but perhaps not to level up, you will level up the first 3-4 levels very fast anyway. You can easy get to level 7 in an day during this event in an zerg group.Grinding just make you go in circles.

I thought I saw it as a quest reward previously, but you are right. I got it as I was running across the landscape for a scouting mission. Or at least I got 1 skill point for that, I have no idea if it is the same one I saw on other characters during the tutorial.
I would be glad to skip the tutorial again in that case. Thanks for the clarification!PC
