I found a copy of ESO and the code came in blank. What?

While poking around at local store, I couldn't help but snatch a 3,99€ copy of "The Elder Scolls Online" (the base-game, still rated "16+" and all) and another one of '"World of Warcraft".

The pages that should have the codes are blank... while the "World of Warcraft" copy worked just fine, though.

Is there anything that I can do?

Hmm. The code probably would not have worked, anyway.

Send the above picture, with a copy of the receipt for said product, to Customer Support via the Support website. See if they can activate you.

Also, you can create ESO accounts without buying the game, so if you have an ESO account that works, but does not have a game purchase associated with it, use that one. Or make one, if you don't.

Eventually, someone like @ZOS_BillE will wander by and either confirm, or correct, the above.

I updated a few more things.

I also did like you said and contacted Support. I sent in the receipt (though it's in Portuguese, but highlighted the purchase) and showed them a couple more screenshots. I'll also stop by the store again, but I'm afraid they can't do much. It's a small business, and these games have been sitting on the back shelves for ages.

I could say it's due to the price, but the WoW copy worked just fine. I've also seen them selling SWTOR copies and they too had codes in it that worked. It's really a bummer as I wanted to gift the game itself to a friend and use the pack for myself.

I did, with both my nails and a penny.

I also tried to see if they would peel off.

Both didn't work.

As it's a much older edition, and likely not purchased from an official retail partner, I'd recommend following the warranty information and returning it to the retailer as defective/faulty product.

So, guess you take it back to the store and get your money back. If it is worth the trip for that about of money.

I recommend trying again to scratch off the codes. I have the same version of the game as you and I just dug out my copy again to check and they're definitely scratch off codes:

It was a few years ago but I remember them being weirdly hard to scratch off, so you might need something more effective than a coin, maybe a table knife.

It seems that they made a scratching surface a little bit too strong, but yeah, the scratching it there to prevent sales of used codes, once scratched, the package is worthless and cannot be traded or sold.

Nope. I have none of the items the pack offers. That's why I'd love to have it.

It says on middle page, on the picture that you provided to contact help in case the code is not working, maybe the support will assist you this time, since you actually have the code now and proof of the purchase.
