One Unit for all Attuned Stations

I had a dream!
I ran across a post that was about something similar to what me and a friend was talking about. But in my dream we came up with the idea that if we could have one main type of crafting station that we could some how add the attuned stations to it like in a way of consume them, Like we do fragments. Being one main crafting station that can stand for them all and even upgrade it when new stations come out and it should only take up one housing item spot. Just picture how cool that will be having one station for all stations and hoping the station will look cool, Something we can be proud of.
I am still working on completing my crafting stations but I know for sure I would love to have a main unit to replace all of them! freeing up 200+ stations item count so we could use them for our awesome luxury furniture items
Picture them all gone into one unit, O what a dream!

I think it would be nice to have the possibilty for having all crafting tables available in house be more accessible to more 'players' and not just the guild elite would be a good thing. Thousands and thousands of writ vouchers for it in its current state. Just raise the voucher price of transmutable tables and let them be accessible via crown store. Unbind the ones that are already being used (if they are bound) so guilds can sell them and not feel cheated and everybody wins, just make it so you actually have to unlock the crafting spots still to attune them. Hell make it like research and you have a whole new layer of crafting progression.

    Somethings gotta give though.

I love the idea of saving space but I also see the issue of having to scroll through 50+ selections for set type, this would also require adding something to the UI to accommadate the set selection line, so it's not a simple ask.

That's sounds like a fabulous idea! Probably would help lag and latency. Although I don't think my guilds guild house would look as grand without all those tables everywhere, lol.

Well, that's the obvious solution that comes to my mind every time I see dozens of crafting stations at guild houses.
Sad, it doesn't seem to come to ZOS minds.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

That's actually a nice idea. And it doesn't have to be "lazy convenience". We could have a sort of Master Crafting Station that would be expensive to craft and additionally require that you "feed" it specific crafting stations to become attuned. This could be achieved for instance by sacrificing a normal attuned crafting station for a token that you would use on the Master Crafting Station to have that set available there from a dropdown menu.

This would still require you to craft and attune every crafting station in the game, but would allow you to have them all available at one spot instead of the eye sore that are your typical guildmaster's house crafting area.

It could have a single huge footprint and be called a "Hall of Fabrication"!
It would also rescue crafters from the huge PITA of moving dozens of tables every time ZOS adds a new set. Not to mention lining them all up nicely.

I made this request years ago. It takes up too much space, is ugly and inconvenient and just bad design.
I have them all, along with all Mundus etc and it’s not fun decorating with the few spots left over after that.

I’m sure it does. But sadly ‘obvious’ doesn’t mean ‘easy to implement’ or ‘has no knock on consequences’, indeed it often means the exact opposite. I can imagine implementing this would actually require quite a bit of work for something that, space saving aside, may not be as user friendly or useful as we think.

For instance, it may end up being much more player/game friendly and immersive to run through aisles of crafting stations to find the one you want than to access it through a sub-menu of options. It might be easier and quicker to see that your guild hall is missing a specific set or sets in the gameworld than to search through a list. It’s not a given that space saving automatically produces a better game experience.

The challenge at ZOS is getting all this right while convincing everyone that this issue is important and timely enough to have to deal with now, rather than, say, working on developing the mechanics for Antiquities v2.

I know it's not a great solution but Essential Housing Tools offers a open house feature and offers many open to all craft houses/mundus/etc.

As for the actual thread, I think in the interest of the current system it'd be easier to just make crafting benches have their own slots and not count toward traditional furnishings. Don't have to overhaul/make a new craft window that way and I can't imagine it'd break anything much less it'd kinda make people more willing to use the craft benches as actual furniture placeholders in certain themes.

I've long been a proponent of one attunable station per each craft. When you pay for/attune it to a new motif, the deliverable is an addition to an alphabetical drop down menu. With so many motifs, a small help here could be the same way you search for something in a guild trader store perhaps - type in the first few letters to narrow/ease the search. Just a touch of creativity/ingenuity could work out how to transition from the old to the new system. I think such a system packs two major advantages over the present system:

Guild halls would no longer have to be a sea of tables warehouse.

The new system could better handle an ever-expanding list of craftible motifs.

I want this a lot. I feel this would be a fair compromise to the issue of not having enough furnishing slots. Also, it would look nicer and be much more convenient.

I don't know if I'd prefer scrolling down a long list of set names rather than run to the exact spot where I know the station I need is located.

We can have more than one house, so you can have one that's your crafting hub and 30 that are your cozy little homes.

So you want to craft everything from the comfort of your Free apartment.

You're right, it's not lazy. Cheap maybe. But not lazy. ... LOL
