What do people think the eadiest way to get event tickets are for this event for someone who hasn't done much battlegrounds or cyrodyl is?

5 hattlegrounds for event tickets = a long long time.

Go to Cyrodil, do just one daily quest. Length of time depends upon which quest you pick up. The ones given by NPCs in the three neutral towns and the three contested downs are all solo-able and typically send you to nearby locations making them the quickest to complete.

However, getting to those towns is a different story. Your faction may have a keep nearby that you can port to and/or controlling the town itself, then again they may not. Should you need to travel on horseback, it can take longer to get to the town than it does to do the quest itself!

I think scouting reports are definitely the easiest. Pick the quest up from the board in your home base, go to the location it says, push F, come back, turn in the quest. (Incidentally you can get back much quicker by finding any enemies and letting them kill you, then you can respawn back in your base, and you'll usually end the scouting quest close to an enemy controlled objective, making it easy to find NPCs to kill you.)

They might not always be the fastest to complete because you might have to ride a long way to get out there (depending on the location and what your side controls) but the only risk or uncertanty is that an enemy player might kill you on your way there, and as long as you stay away from battles and objectives that's unlikely. But also you have the same risk with any other quest and more chance they'll be going to the same place you are.

I’ve been doing the Imperial City dailies in a block of 6 quests. Turn in one per day. Do them at low population times, in a group, and/or on a nightblade to minimize risk.

I’m also doing the event normally and playing a lot of pvp. This is just to make sure that I get event tickets on days where I’m too busy to log on for very long.

Scouting quests or battlegrounds. You should try battlegrounds. Yesterday I found in the under level 50 battlegrounds that I was getting between one and three event boxes per battleground, even though my PUG team came in third place four out of five battlegrounds that I did. And I am not that good at PvP, so I was not the top point earner on my PUG team. Do the Midyear Mayhem starter quest, use the Pelinal scroll, and with double AP I was getting the 1000 AP needed to get an event box in every battleground. I found that using the battleground health plus stamina food (on my stam toon), staying with my team, and attacking whatever enemies they were attacking was getting me points for "helping" with kills. And it was enough to get me event box(es) with the double points from the scroll.

Battleground quests aren’t that hard, they just take time. Today I have the earn 1000 points in a battleground which is incredibly easy to get so... it really depends. 5 matches ain’t that bad in the evening when the waiting times are minimal, that’s 1 hour of play. Winning 3 battlegrounds might be more difficult that that, based on your team and your own PvP experience.

In Cyrodiil you’re always up for a massive amount of time just riding around doing nothing. Can be nice but when you get caught and killed your travel time doubles.

I'd say scouting missions are the most likely to complete for tickets regardless of the color of the Cyrodiil map. All you need to do is ride to the location and follow instructions. The key is to stay off the roads and go overland. It also helps to have some way to stealth. If there are towns in your color then I would look at doing the dailies for these as many can be finished faster than the scouting mission.

For me, easiest (in part because I enjoy them) is completing an Imperial City daily. Especially at low-population times, as was said above. If not that, then I'd definitely second the Scouting Missions recommendation.

Do a repeatable daily quest in one of the towns in Cyrodiil (pick the one closer to your faction or near a controlled keep). These quests are PvE quests, usually fetch/kill quests, similar to other quests outside Cyrodiil.

If you can log on at a quiet time, scouting reports are easy. I did a bunch (one per character of course) before the event without even having a combat build.

They're even easier if you pick them up in a campaign where your side is losing badly, get one that isn't too deep in the enemy's natural territory, and do them at a campaign and at a time when your character's alliance is doing better.

Also, there are five towns with repeatable PvE quests. One is deep in natural DC territory, one is deep in natural EP territory, and the other three are near the three natural borders. If you can get to a town that your alliance controls solidly, they can be very easy. Easiest of all is the one in Bruma that can be done inside the house where it's given to you. (And there are only five possibilities, so accepting and rejecting others shouldn't take too long.) Chorrol in DC territory also has one where you walk a few meters to where there are some flame atronachs, and wait for enough to spawn that you can kill four of them. A bunch of others are only a little harder than those.

    scouting reports in cyro

Especially if your alliance controls most of the map, which happens occasionally. Sometimes you can port directly to the scout location and directly back.

And of course having a fully trained horse helps.

As with all events the game also treats quest turns in on that day as done that day for tickets / other rewards. So as a backup you can do several other quests - eg. the various town ones - and don't turn them in. Then if you don't have enough time one day to do a scout mission, you can find a map where your alliance coverage lets you port directly to or near the turn in, and grab your tickets.

Alts can be another form of backup.

Do a scouting mission on a handful of alts and each can be used for instant tickets on any day you need that. The scouting mission turn in point is at your alliance home base so you don't need to worry about the state of the map.

I took the whole quest board line in Cyro on Saturday, joined a zerg and completed them all. Now I will turn in one each day and think I'm set until at least next weekend, if not the whole event even.
