I hate it *hisss* more pve content. If it gets removed I cheer. Right now the servers are *** for me in cyrodil. Most peopel just do one scout quest and nothing else anyways which is basically pve.

6 poplocked camps after primetime, normally only kaal has any pop...So yes, it is obviously different by a large margin

I'm not a fan of PVP, but it is a bit more interesting when you have lots of varied activity going on. Typically it's more a horse simulator than anything else. Or if your not running with a zerg, you're running somewhere to be killed, transported to a new location so you can run somewhere again to be killed.

Too bad they can't come up with a way to keep interest up for longer periods of time. More people translate into more competitive opportunities for those not skilled...which equals more fun for more people.

My biggest lag spike sent me back 30 minutes and undid everything. After that I got back to where I was I got booted and undid all my work again. When a mode is this broke it needs to be removed. It's just wasting away time on the ESO server's. 5 second response times on any button press or attack.

It sounds like I'm being hyperbolic but this is the honest to god my new player experience. AXE IT AXE IT AXE IT!

I see it as a challenge. Sure, I'm looking for a time when my Faction is winning so I can go do town quests.

Today there was a red trying to gank peeps in one town doing their dailies. When he popped out on me I fought him and other characters joined the fight and we whacked him. It was fun. I didn't get ganked.

As primarily a PvE player I have to say I really like Midyear Mayhem(when the server works), Large scale Cyro battles and large skirmishes are fun.

Cyro is not perfect, and I think everyone would be better off w/o the PvE/PvP tension generated by not having a Cyrodiil adventure zone.

But this is the game we have atm, and 2 PvP events per year is fair, even 3 if ZOS thinks the pop is there to justify it.

Each time they have this event, every new day spent in Cyrodiil is the best day I've ever spent in Cyrodiil. :)

Tonight was awesome. I earned 227k AP just in one session, and that was about a third of all the AP I'd ever earned up to that point-- that is, I went from between 600k and 700k AP to between 800k and 900k AP in one pop. By session, I mean the time from when I pick up a repeatable mission to the time I complete it and turn it in. I did a scouting mission and a resource capture mission back-to-back, then captured a second resource at the same keep, then joined a zerg and helped DC capture all of the resources and keeps around Lake Rumare, during which I also helped kill a lot of NPCs and a few enemy players. (The zerg killed more than a few enemy players, but I managed to contribute to only a few of those.) Afterward, I ran some more solo missions, which were netting me anywhere from 500-plus to 1000-plus AP for each mission.

I also got into some more 1v1 action with enemy players, and I put up a fight-- knowing I wasn't going to last very long. At one point tried my best to run away from one player before I got killed, but the other player was not about to let me get off easy, so he gave chase, caught me in a snare, and killed me to death. It was great fun!

I'm not even gearing up or quickslotting potions for PvP, so it's all just me and my mediocre skills. I'm thinking that when I finally start using potions and food buffs, rework my skill bars, and respec my character to improve my build, I should be a good bit more capable at this PvP stuff. I mean, I still suck at trying to use my skills, since I'm playing with a keyboard and I invariably start hitting the wrong keys when the action gets fast and furious. I don't know if hardcore PvPers use gaming mice or game controllers, but a keyboard definitely doesn't cut it.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

You can also buy for AP triune prism and motifs which you can sell for a nice amount of gold, so yeah.. in my opinion it's not useless

Literally every campaign including IC is pop locked with wait times into the hundreds on pc EU, if zos' would spend even a fraction of their time promoting PvP, this is proof how popular it could be .

Yeah, increase rewards for example, or introduce new PvP only rewards, mounts, outfits, etc, would bring many many to cyro, the only reason it stagnated is because of decisions zos' made, no other reason. This event demonstrates how popular cyro can be if there is even a moderate incentive.

It was nice that the usual ohemgee super 1337 groups got steam rolled by equal pop at 1 am on no cp pc EU. Funny how they somehow disappeared when they couldn't troll solo players or the lowest pop faction

    Totally agree with OP.

So much action and much needed revitalisation to Cyrodiil!

This should absolutely be a 2x per year event, and then Imperial City event once a year. Please ZOS, give us PVPers some event love ☺️

I was on the verge of quitting the game as a primarily pvp player. This event just shows how great cyrodil could be if zos paid some attention to it.

To add some funny anecdotes: saw a player light attacking a ram to try and destroy it. Saw multiple players sieging a keep they had already taken, and got chased by a red zerg from arrius to alessia (spoiler, dont chase a sorc)

I would love for them to do more events in Cyro even if its just 3 times a year maybe focusing on the different aspects of PvP, one event is Mid Year Mayhem with a focus on Cyrodiil , the other Event is the Tamriel Gladiator tournament focusing on BGs the next one does something with IC (not sure on how to thematically do that)

Offer unique gear and motifs and during the event still give us the AP boost too =)

My problem with doing Cryo more regularly is that it's such a huge time commitment and there is just so much else to do in the game. When I am going into Cryo I am going there for at least 2 hours.

It's weird because if you are only there for a short time there isn't enough time for you to see any progress on the map but if you are there for a long time you can feel some actually feeling of accomplishment. For example, I spent an hour today defending Roe Keep from a purple assault. once we finally pushed them away for good we suddenly went on a rampage, keep after keep, grabbed a scroll and got emp. If I had stopped playing after 30 min it would have literally spent the whole time at Roe keep and not achieved anything.

Basically, if I am going to Cyro I have to commit to it and an event like Mayhem gives me an excuse to jump in there.

PvP in this game could be the best, most popular out of any MMO and could even contend with pure PvP games, but zos content starves it and rarely promotes it through events.

A bit more effort/focus on PvP could go a long way for zos, and PvP games are typically much more profitable and popular so not really sure why they have swept it to the side so much.

I've really enjoyed it, it's reminded me how much fun pvp can be. After I got my Arena Gladiator costume, I didn't bother with cyrodil for ages, but now it's revitalised my love for it. I even spent some time in Imperial City, which I usually hate and I did my first ever battlegrounds today, and we won the second match, so overall, I'm very happy with this event.

I'm just not getting it. Granted it might be better if more of my alliance were on(i swear I think I was the only AD on when I played) I've played bgs a bit but cyro honestly seems like a whole lot of riding to get somewhere, and if you die you get to ride some more. If you're alone it just doesn't seem fun. Bgs suck facing premades or if you have a long Que but cyro is guaranteed to be die, long ride, kill a couple, die, long ride.

I'll try again later and maybe do some of the quests and wrap pve and PvP together but yeah, I see what people mean when they say horse simulator. At least bgs you get to fight, even if you're bad at it.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. After several hours I was kicked back to Bangkorai and some crazy place in queue... well I was kicked to login screen more then 10 times before that. But i'm in trip and playing via 3G... so I can't blame ZOS here, I am not sure what lags more - my internet or Cyrodiil.
