I'm in the Bank of Daggerfall, and before I leave I start stealing everything I can-- as usual-- so I go sneaking behind the guard to loot the long chest behind her...

And suddenly go falling through the air, landing in the water. High above me are all the buildings of Daggerfall, although their floors and walls seem to be mostly gone. And I can see all of the NPCs, players, and pets going about their business as I tread water far below them.

I figure that guard pushed me out of the world to teach me not to steal on her watch.

Oh, well, at least there were no slaughterfish!

That is a secret trap to protect that chest. The lesson is GiT gUd at avoiding those traps.

There is a trap door in the back of the bank - kind of where the secondary position of the banker is - that is frequently invisible for me, and you can see the water below.

I've been under the world before. Didn't have water though. The land was very flat. Fred, the dog, was not pleased.

For some reason, lots of games have this setup. Pretty cool but it makes no sense. 😂

I did that once as well-- just fell into that trap door and went splash!

None that came near me. And it looked like the water was just a big square or some kind of polygon, but I didn't swim over to the sides to see if there was an invisible wall or just the edge of the world. I understand that it's glyptodons all the way down.

One of these days I'll have to go swimming off the western coast of Vvardenfell to find that underwater temple.
