You won't have to delete the game. When the 'big' patch happens it will be an automatic update. The only problem you may have, is if you don't have the download space to fit the update and old game during the patch process. On PTS the update was something like 65 gig.

Why do you say space to fit both the update and the old game? You know what overwriting is right? The process should replace your current installation with the new one.

The launcher downloads all the new files first before overwriting the old ones. If you don’t have that extra 65-70Gb free, you have to delete the old installation first.

I'd honestly be very surprised if any PC user has a completely full Drive in this day and age.

Zen's patches add and remove files all the time. This time they will be removing 30gb of data when they are done. You need do nothing but patch.

I'm sure ZOS said on the News forum that we would all have to delete and reinstall the game, not just patch as normal, but I guess more news will be released closer to the time. I initially heard that this was happening at the end of Jan, but I guess its not. Shame, as hoping it will fix the game, with all the crashes cyro is pretty much unplayable on PS4 atm. Thanks for all the input guys.

Nope, just let the patcher do its thing.

Although that means I'm still going to delete and reinstall regardless of how ZOS do it, because it seems pointless to overwrite it and then move it to the B: drive when I could just do a fresh install straight to the right location.
