PVPers: How much time you Pving vs PvEing?

This poll is geared towards the "PVP" community: If you don't see yourself as part of the PVP community, just go ahead and skip.

Yesterday I logged in with the intention of finishing grinding gear for my magdk that I haven't touched in ages. I've run COA around 100x + and still looking for an inferno staff. I did four runs with ought luck.( I have every other bsw weapon though!). I then ran VDSA to help a guildie get a master bow, which they didn't. Oh well, that's rng. I've found that though I prefer pvp and theorycrafting, around 70-80%% of my actual time in game is spent in PVE, getting gear, getting better at PVE so I can of course get gear easier. I generally have "meta" pve builds so when a dlc drops, I can get the helm and grind if I want to.

Really, while I love PVP, if a majority of my time in game is going to PVE, then my time in game is bolstering the pve community. I want to consider the possibility that maybe "pvpers" are bolstering the numbers of the PVE community in order to be competitive.

Lets face it, it's way easier to get monster helms though pvp, master weapons are only pve, brp items, only pve, and each dungeon set. If you want undaunted, that is a LOOOONG grind over the course of a week. This of course does not tell us what % of ESO considers themselves a part of the community, and I wouldn't be surprised if plenty of people find themselves in a grey area. I know that the framing of this poll seems black and white, but we can't ignore people like all type of activities and may disregard any of the titles.

Consider:
Getting gear (dungeons, overland sets, trials, 4 person)
Skyshards and skills
crafting/writs
Social activities ect

About half my time. The rest I spend on housing, rp, questing, dungeons, trials, and soon the new mythic system.

I love PVP and consider myself a PVPer, but you won't find me there very often as I do other things as well like fishing, dungeons with my guildies to help them out, among other things.

I wonder how many that consider them PvE players but do PvP will not enter this thread thinking it is intended as a PvP thread as the tittle indicates?

That alone skews the poll and makes it virtually meaningless in the context of forum goers. Devil is in the details.

I used to PVP pretty much 75% but the game performance there is just too bad nowadays.

It overwhelms what used to be a very fun part of the game.

A bit sadly, I’ve gone back to doing vet dungeons as my main gameplay.

There are performance issues there ofc but nothing like Cyro.

Well I hope they can read the first line......"This poll is geared towards the "PVP" community: If you don't see yourself as part of the PVP community, just go ahead and skip." ahem, IDK, go ahead and skip

If I could put all of my money into someone who is hardcore about pve commenting, I would have gone all in on you commenting. Literally, I think any forum post with PVP in and you see the bat signal and jump in.

you could always add a margin of error for those that didn't read the first sentence and look at the comments as well. I hope though when I submit it for peer review in "ESO Nature Journal" that the reviewers only have small revisions and my in depth ESO forum post is accepted and perceived as a highly innovated study that shifts our understanding of the cosmos.

Most of the PvE I do is to get me back into Cyrodiil. It is a positive that I love the PvE in this game.

On PS4. Constant crashes, long loadscreens, loadscreens during combat, skills not popping, potions not popping, unable to barswap, desyncs, most of my 400+ member pvp guild stopped playing a couple patches ago. These problems have obviously been around for quite awhile, but They've increased dramatically since dragonhold. Still holding out hope that it'll get better.

Well I hope they can read the first line......

As I said, the title itself indicates this is a PvP focused thread, The title literally asks for PvP people, not those mostly interested in PvE or even those balanced between the two so many have no reason to look at the thread and see the first line biasing the poll.

Edit: I edited out the rest of your reply as it was really just smoke and mirrors trying to paint it other than it really is. It is pretty obvious.

I switched factions so it’s been a ton of pve.

PvP is endgame as soon as you’re 50. There’s a ton of prep to do before setting foot in Cyro and it takes a loooong time.
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

I started Cyro at level 10 with 3 pieces of twin sisters on! No time like the present!

I tried to get into dungeons.
Did all of them in vet HM in a week.
Then I told myself, ok today I am taking a day off, just PVP today and I will keep collecting keys starting from tomorrow.
That break turnt into 2 weeks now and probably will be 2 months and more :D

I mean I finished all, what is the point doing it again now? I am bored already

I also don't like grinding. So my gear are usually buyable or craftable. I swear I can not run more dungeons :joy:

During the week I almost exclusively PvE, on the w/e almost exclusively PvP. Flat percentage I'd guess 50/50.

I do the crafting writs across 9 characters daily though, I find it almost to be meditative after a hard days rl work.

80 percent of the time spent sitting in Vvardenfell contemplating if bg queues will work, checking the crown store and looking at the campaign’s and saying “yeah, I think not”
