Sound gets cut when in discord

Hello,
Very annoying issue, i've tried messing with discord settings to no avail. Everytime i get on vocal chat, i lose the sound of the game, and it's very annoying to play for hours listening only to people breathing and typing furiously on their keyboard
Any solution for this would be much appreciated

✭Not the only possibility, but that can happen if you have attenuation turned all the way up. Go to settings>voice&video>scroll about 2/3 of the way down. Turn the attenuation slider all the way to the left.
Windows 10 also does some funky things with the microphone when they update sometimes. You can check windows settings>privacy>microphone and make sure the allow apps toggle at the top is turned on.0
