I don't want to get hurt so I'd max out my defense, 20 points into Vitality.
I'd go with the big shield + one handed class that attacks by smooshing things under their shield.

All of the sudden time freezes. Everything is delayed. You see a crowd of people running towards you with insane speed. They seem to be jumping through time. As they approach, you try to move out of the way, but can't.
All of the sudden you feel a sudden increase of temperature, as 200 Fire Balls flies towards you.
* Game master now starts rolling 8d6 * 200 times to calculate damage *
Once you start rolling for the guys in the second line and further back, they start hitting their own people blocking line of sight to the lone player. The zerg lights up in a massive hurricane of fire. More and more fireballs materialize from already melting hands. The screams of agony are deafening, the smell stomach-churning. In a moment, the searing heat burns flesh off bone, turns bone to ash on the ground, melts ground into glass. The player watches in silent horror, the sight of 200 deaths burned into their eyes. To this day they roam the land, a furtive, disheveled figure shouting ominous warnings that few understand: "Don't stack! For the love of Akatosh, spread out!"Fireball
A bright streak flashes from your pointing finger to a point you choose within range then blossoms with a low roar into an explosion of flame.
Each creature in a 20-foot radius Sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw.
A target takes 8d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The fire spreads around corners.
It ignites flammable Objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
