$130 + $35 shipping + $10 tax = $175

It's disappointing because I have all of the other boxed collectors editions... But $175 is a hard pill to swallow here, and tbh I am not that happy with the current state of the game.

I got a 10% discount code for allowing Bethesda to spam my email. However, 35 bucks for shipping is not Sparta, but rather madness.

    1 - Clairly overpriced
2 - You're also not forced to buy it anyway, wait for discount offer later.

Unless you are an eu player, the "current state of the game" is not that bad, as someone who's been here since beta. As for the price its 200 for me thanks to California taxes.

I play on the NA server and the game has serious concerns for me. (And I too have been here since beta.)

    1) I am not a fan AT ALL of the current combat team.

    2) Southern Elsweyr makes my game game client freak out. Everywhere else in the game I am great, Southern Elseweyr I get DEEP crashes that also effect my system. And add to that I basically got no response from the Devs at all in game or on the forums. AND I know of at least one person on these forums suffering the same exact issue.

So I feel I am entitled to be "not that happy with the current state of the game", ok? Thanks.

Hot tip! Best buy is selling it with free shipping! So that makes the final price a lot more manageable.

maybe I just missed this detail, but does the physical collector's edition come with a redemption code, hard copy, or both?

Sorry ZOS $185.31CAD is far too much for what you are giving with the Physical Collector's Edition upgrade.

Had you sold it at $169.99, which would have been the $130USD with exchange rate to Canadian would have been acceptable. But not at the price listed. Kinda hoping this one fails for you now.

Summerset was $119.99 and Morrowind was $139.99 which were still slightly higher than the USD price, but not so much to be an obvious rip off.

I have to add, this is the price for us, BEFORE 13% tax which would bring our price to $209.40 shipping not included if you have to pay for that extra.

Collectors in “collecting stuff costs money” shocker...

But got to agree, your enthusiasm for the game is being gauged and no mistake.

Given that the cost of games paraphernalia is often way more than the cost of the games themselves, what would be a realistic package and cost that would make collectors happy?

Personally I think about $120 for a normal collectors edition for a AAA title. Maybe even $200 if there is a truly limited, extra special version of it for the truly super hard core (like cyberpunk).

But this is just an expansion pack so it should be on the lower end.

Really though if you can cut out the $35 shipping cost, the price is a lot more manageable. But $130 + $35 shipping + $10 tax = nope, too expensive.

Is the higher price due to the statue and the map included?

    Is this a joke?

The combat has got worse not better over the years, and char progression is at a stand still. Also by my stupid forum name, you can see I played beta also and yaaaaaa. This game is NOT what it should be.

Hype the Skyrim nostalgia, announce performance fixes again, squeeze all the wallets dry. It's the Elsweyr Cats & Dragon strategy all over again.

They aren't focused on keeping a stable population in the game, it's all about exploiting the high peaks of activity and barely surviving the deep troughs (the severe loss of momentum between chapters/dlcs). Prepare for even the most hardcore ES fan to question the astronomical prices en route for this years crown store.

The sad thing is, it would not take that much to get people happy again. Just, ya know..fix the core issue of the game. The lack luster combat. It is common sense at this point, of the weakest link of the game. (besides the bugs.)

I feel that given the physical collector's edition doesn't come with the base game, it is just an "Upgrade", therefore, there is no actual software disc like in the other releases, just the now useless steelbook, the statue(not a high quality item), a paper map and the coins, and going back and comparing it against the last two physical collector's editions, I feel a fair price for this set given inflation would have been no more than $114.99USD or $149.99CAD.

This is taking into consideration for the $50USD price tag for the digital version of the Collector's Edition.
