Vampire Lord tranformation with Skyrim. Yes or no?

This is the main feature I'm looking forward to with this expansion.

Also, Necromancer desperately needs a tanking summon (even if 16-20 seconds duration only).

Also, since Castle Volkihar is present, we will hopefully get a Vampire questline.

And anyone remembers if Winderhold already exists in the 2nd Era?

As long as our vampire bloodline gets replaced by a volikhar bloodline during a questline, I would be fine with the ultimate. otherwise it wouldn't be lore friendly for normie bloodlines to have the form.

    NO.
Transformations are lazy and honestly ugly. There are many other more interesting things that they can do with the skill "Lords" should stay rare instead of every wanna be edge lord

A tanking summon might work but not sure if 16 seconds would really do a lot or not.

There may be some improvements to Vampires but not sure they would go all out with Vampire Lords. Would be interesting to see if they instead have us assist Harkon and his family when they are still human before they move to become Vampire Lords. In some way we lead to that path for them with our quests.

Winterhold does exist and I suggested in another post that they may be bringing that area in the next expansion along with the College of Mages.
I actually think they will announce the area of Winterhold and the College as they showed a snow/ice on the background. That would be a good area to open up and see that location before it fell into the sea in the 4th era.

There was a vampire lord polymorph datamined years ago. Could be a polymorph we unlock from a quest?

Vampire improvements? Yes, though I'm not sure about transformation. I'd just like to see more useful skills and an ability to hide vampirism.
Necromancer tanking summons? Um, but why? Ghost is already a "tanking" summon (heal+damage reduction), and summons in general are not really needed to tank stuff.

    No.

Maybe I'm the only person who never liked the vampire lord thing, but please no. I didn't like it or use it in Skyrim, even though my main was always a vampire - I preferred playing as a more classic vampire with the Better Vampires mod, seducing his way around the place!
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

This largely reminds me of the old times and the "Noers" when we were hugely and widely requesting a Necromancer class, or even just a World Skill line.

    "NO"
    "ITS AGAINS THE LORE"
"IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE MANNIMARCO"

Shut the hell up already you naysayers, we don't need your noes. Most of you will most surely play the Vampire Lord after your "no's" here in this thread.

Sames as the naysayers of the Necromancer class did back in the time.

Good thing the devs completely ignore the noers and listen to the ones that want new features and elaborte why and how they want such features.

I will enjoy my Vampire Lord Necromancer very much.

I'm not sure why anyone would say that Necromancy "breaks lore".

Necromancy isn't rare at all. Not even close. It may actually be one of the more common applications of magic in Tamriel. But common does not mean legal/tolerated.

How many ruined castles/caves/camps do you find in any TES game ever filled to the brim with necromancers? Loads. Like, practically every other cave.

So no, anyone saying necromancy "breaks lore" is a bit silly if you ask me.

    However...

Vampire Lords on the other hand? No, these are (were) rare.

I am disappointed to be quite honest.

I know some people have referenced "But Skyrim..."

Yes. Skyrim. Where there is only one player character. See why the comparison falls flat?

Bro, we're literally vampires that were changed by the very first vampire.

If anything, WE as players should be more rare and powerful than a vampire lord. We're literally converted by the mother of all vampires herself.

Players aren't getting Vampire Lord but they are getting a transformation.
Vampire Lord is a gift from Molag Bal - the Father of Vampires
Blood Scion is a gift from Lamae Bal - the Mother of Vampires

Similar but different and still lore friendly
